• l’altro ieri
The second album by Sicilian folk group Taberna Mylaensis (or perhaps it was the first) is for obvious reasons very similar to the first releaaed the same year a few months later ( or earlier). Obviously the music and the lyrics are stricly tied to the previous one. The music is deeply linked to the traditions of Sicily, the lyrics deal with more modern themes as well as to more arcadian and anchestral themes: girls kidnapped by Saracen pirates, the labors of the farmers, prisoners, the adoration of the saints, and traditional lullabies passed down orally by the common people.
