Pembroke Dock singer Daniel Rolls and regulars at the Gremlin Club Open Mic Night in Carmarthen have released a Christmas single entitled Santa's Wish to help raise money for homeless people across Wales.
The track is a cover version of a song written by ‘The Tenors’ - and the music video which accompanies ‘Santa's Wish’ sheds light on the struggles of homelessness during the winter months, when every breath is a reminder of the fragility of survival.
Daniel is a professional dancer and choreographer who studied ‘professional musical theatre’ at Bird College Kent.
He sings socially with his friends at the Open Mic Night to bring people together to forget their troubles and anxieties for a few hours and come together in song. Many of the singers have social disadvantages or disabilities both mental and physical.
A Just Giving page: https://www.justgiving.com/page/showboat-tv-1732370654345?utm_medium=FR&utm_source=CL has been opened, with all monies raised donated directly to Shelter Cymru.
Just £2 can buy a cup of tea for one person and make a difference this Winter.
Showboat TV in Wales will also broadcast the video throughout December.

00:00One Christmas many years ago, when I was just a boy
00:20I walked along those snowy streets, the windows full of toys
00:27My mom and dad both held my hand, a crowd was up ahead
00:33They gathered round a man who sang, and this is what he said
00:40I'd like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony
00:46I'd like to hold it in my arms and keep it company
00:53I'd like to see the world for once all standing hand in hand
01:00And hear them echo through the hills for peace throughout the land
01:10And all at once he disappeared within a flash of light
01:16His tattered coat was left behind, his sleigh was taking flight
01:23And still I hear that melody that echoed through the night
01:31I'd like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony
01:38I'd like to hold it in my arms and keep it company
01:44I'd like to see the world for once all standing hand in hand
01:51And hear them echo through the hills for peace throughout the land
01:57Singing now, ooooh, ooooh
02:11As a child I asked a man in red
02:17Hey Santa, what's your Christmas wish?
02:21And this is what he said
02:25I'd like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony
02:32I'd like to hold it in my arms and keep it company
02:40I'd like to see the world for once all standing hand in hand
02:47And hear them echo through the hills for peace throughout the land
02:54I'd like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony
02:59Let me hear you now
03:01I'd like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony
03:07I'd like to teach the world to sing
03:14And I'd like to teach the world to sing
03:20And I'd like to teach the world to sing
03:27And I'd like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony
03:36I'd like to teach the world to sing
