00:03:07Faye barged the door open and quickly zoomed to Nathan's desk.

00:03:10The wind that came along with her caused papers to be flown and scattered all over the room.

00:03:18The portals have been used, Faye shouted.

00:03:20Two students seem to have been registered to have gone through them.

00:03:23Nathan started to pick up the papers that were scattered around the room one by one.

00:14:07Usually those places get targeted by thieves and such,

00:14:09and even if it wasn't there,

00:14:11it would be best if we let the beast leave first.

00:15:22He walked up to the beast,

00:15:24and with a single blow to its head,

00:15:26it had died.

00:15:28As Quinn looked at the back of the building,

00:15:30he could see a small hole in one of the corners.

00:15:34he gulped at the thought that perhaps

00:15:36whatever injured the rat might be inside.

00:15:38Crawling on his front,

00:15:40he had reached the hole and tried to pop his head in.

00:15:42It was big enough for a human to fit through,

00:15:44but what he was afraid of was inside the building.

00:15:46He crawled through the hole

00:15:48and entered into the hangar.

00:15:50Nearly everything inside had been destroyed.

00:15:52There were no airships, mechs,

00:15:54and no beast weapons.

00:15:56He started to walk around the hangar for a while,

00:15:58until eventually,

00:16:00he found a room stationed in the corner.

00:16:02He walked up to the room,

00:16:04and there was a single steel door

00:16:06with a passcode device next to it.

00:16:08The door was military grade,

00:16:10which meant even those with abilities

00:16:12would find it hard to break it down.

00:16:14But it was clear to him that whatever was in the container

00:16:16had yet to be destroyed,

00:16:18and most likely whatever was inside

00:16:20was important stuff worth locking.

00:16:22Should I try hammer strike on it?

00:16:24He looked at the passcode on the side

00:16:26and pressed four random digits

00:16:29Of course I'm not that lucky,

00:16:31he thought.

00:16:33Looking at the lock again,

00:16:35his gut was telling him to try it.

00:16:37Quinn then did as his inspect skill said

00:16:39and touched the lock.

00:16:41Nothing happened,

00:16:43but then he used the inspect skill one more time.

00:16:45Quinn immediately tested out the number

00:16:47the system had given him.

00:16:49The door then made an unlocking sound

00:17:50after building, but there was no lock

00:17:52or no sign of a secret room.

00:17:54Eventually, they entered what looked like

00:17:56a library. That's when a loud

00:17:58rumbling sound had come from Vorden's

00:18:00belly.

00:18:02I guess we've been traveling for a while now. Why don't we rest

00:18:04here for the night? Doesn't look like there are any

00:18:06beasts here and we can build our own fortress,

00:18:08Ian said. There were large holes

00:18:10and broken down walls on the first floor

00:18:12which made it easy for beasts to attack

00:18:14them. Once they had reached the second

00:18:16floor, the two of them started to lift up

00:18:18a few of the bookshelves.

00:18:20It seemed like Ian had the ability of super strength,

00:18:46go inside. He then pulled out

00:18:48a little small stone from his pocket

00:18:50and placed it on the ground in the center

00:18:52of the room. He tapped the stone

00:18:54once and a warm orange light started

00:18:56to shine from it. Here, take

00:19:00a small circle pill to Vorden.

00:19:58changed. It was a container room

00:20:00filled with ability and skill books.

00:20:02Although Quinn was unable to learn the

00:20:04ability, he immediately converted

00:20:06the book into EXP points.

00:20:08As soon as Quinn decided to convert

00:20:10the book into EXP, it

00:20:12started to vanish in his very hands,

00:20:14as if it was disintegrating.

00:20:16After absorbing the first book,

00:20:18Quinn started to pick up book after book.

00:20:20After going through the books, Quinn

00:20:22found out that a level 1 skill book

00:20:24would give him 5 EXP points,

00:20:26while a level 1 ability book

00:20:28would give him 10 EXP points.

00:20:30Quinn got closer to the back of the

00:20:32container and found that the level of books

00:20:34would increase. After leveling up,

00:20:36Quinn immediately put his stat point

00:20:38into Strength, and now without his gauntlets,

00:20:40his Strength was at 15,

00:20:42meaning he would be able to perform the

00:20:44strike skill with or without the gauntlets.

00:20:46As Quinn looked around the room,

00:20:48there were still several books he hadn't

00:20:50even touched yet. The place really was

00:20:52a gold mine for him. As he went

00:20:54onto the next set of shelves, with it

00:20:56came a new set of books. He placed

00:20:58his hand on the first one, and it was the

00:21:00first level 3 ability book he had come across.

00:21:02Quinn placed the book down

00:21:04and picked the book up, making sure

00:21:06he had heard the system right, but once

00:21:08again, the numbers he had received were correct.

00:21:10The level 3 ability book was

00:21:12offering him 1000 EXP points.

00:21:14He once again went on

00:21:16rampage, grabbing every book he could

00:25:38half of a scorpion-like creature,

00:26:40in a pile of scrap metal.

00:26:48As he saw the eggs, a horrible thought

00:26:50had entered his mind. Quinn

00:27:00more likely, now the fact that her eggs

00:28:04As soon as the Rattaclaw pulled its body through the

00:28:06small hole, it immediately looked up to

00:28:08see Quinn. Before he even had

00:28:10a chance to run away, Rattaclaw

00:28:12started squealing like mad.

00:28:14Shut up! Why did you have to come here now

00:28:16of all times? Then the sound

00:28:18of several steps was heard from behind.

00:28:20Quinn didn't have time to turn around

00:28:22to know what it was, but he did

00:28:24so anyway, and as he did, a giant

00:29:02that's where he needed to hit.

00:29:04Then as Quinn readied his hand to cast

00:29:06his blood swipe skill, he felt a sharp

00:29:08pain in his back. As he looked

00:29:10up, he could see something connected to

00:29:12his body, and when he followed it, it

00:29:14went behind the beast. The beast

00:29:16then lifted Quinn with the tail and

00:29:18chucked him hard up against the wall.

00:29:20As he fell to the ground, his HP

00:29:22had taken a huge hit. As

00:29:24Quinn looked into his stomach, he could see

00:29:26a large puncture had been created,

00:29:28and blood was quickly flowing out of

00:29:30his body. Critical hit,

00:29:3210 of 45 HP,

00:29:34blood bank empty, 35

00:29:36of 45 HP.

00:29:38With his health nearly full, his wounds

00:29:40had healed up almost instantly, and

00:29:42Quinn was able to move once again.

00:29:44Looking at the scorpion, he noticed

00:29:46the tail truly wasn't there.

00:29:48Is it able to take it into his body and

00:29:50out at will? This is going to be a pain.

00:31:40given his health back like he thought it might have done.

00:32:36darkness. He quickly would shift and

00:32:38hide in the shadows, or behind walls,

00:32:40waiting for the beasts to leave,

00:32:42and when he was ready, he would zoom past

00:32:48belly was starting to distract him, and it

00:32:50was getting harder for him to focus, as

00:32:52his health had gone down. Then

00:32:54finally, Quinn had spotted another

00:32:56building that was relatively in good condition.

00:32:58The training center, a place where travelers

00:33:00could come and test out their skills,

00:33:02or practice with new equipment. As

00:33:04Quinn got closer to the dome building,

00:33:06he noticed that there were several mechs

00:33:08stationed outside that had been destroyed,

00:33:10their cores completely ripped

00:33:12out. Mechs were a powerful

00:33:14device used in the war, but

00:33:16to power them, they required an incredibly

00:33:18powerful beast crystal of a high

00:33:20tier. As he reached the entrance of the

00:33:22training center, he could see that two

00:33:24Rattaclaws were standing out in front of the building.

00:33:26He decided to wait a little longer,

00:33:28hoping that the Rattaclaws might

00:33:30move. 10 of 50 HP.

00:33:32But as he saw the message bring

00:33:34his health down once again, he was only

00:33:36getting even more aggravated. The

00:33:38rats didn't look like they would be leaving anytime

00:33:40soon, and Quinn needed

00:33:42to come up with a plan. As

00:33:44Quinn looked around him, he found a broken piece of

00:33:46the mech nearby. He picked it up,

00:33:48and looked off into the distance. Using all

00:33:50his strength, he threw the piece of metal a

00:33:56aiming for, making a large clang

00:33:58sound as it fell on the mech. The rats then

00:34:00looked up at where the noise was coming from,

00:34:02and quickly scurried off in the direction of

00:34:04the sound. This is my chance! Quinn,

00:34:06using all the powers in his legs,

00:34:08bolted for the entrance. He tried pushing

00:34:10the steel doors open, but there was no luck.

00:34:12As he looked around the door for anything,

00:34:14he spotted another access code

00:34:16machine. He immediately rushed forward,

00:34:18placing his hand on the machine, and used

00:34:20his inspect skill. I hope these works

00:35:10the four rats. Flashstep only had

00:36:22in despair. He felt like this was

00:36:24his last chance. There was no

00:36:26way he had the time to go walking around the city,

00:36:28looking for another room with a portal.

00:38:30let me see so far. They were completely

00:38:32surrounded, not just around them,

00:38:34but also above as well. A few of the

00:38:36slug creatures dropped from above, while

00:38:38the ones around them reached out with their tentacles.

00:43:14the side and knocked the beast away.

00:43:16Vorden quickly rushed to Ian's side

00:43:18and lifted him off the ground.

00:43:20Thanks, kid. What was that?

00:43:22Vorden asked. I don't know. I've

00:43:24never seen anything like it, but it looked like

00:43:26a humanoid-type beast, Ian replied.

00:43:28The chair didn't keep the beast

00:43:30down for long, as the smell of blood was

00:43:32too strong. Turn on your light stone,

00:43:34Ian said. As the two

00:43:36of them turned on the light stone, the beast

00:43:38suddenly stopped. It covered its eyes

00:43:40and backed away from the two.

00:43:42It looks like I was right, said Ian.

00:43:44That beast must have been the one to take out all the lights.

00:43:48But the two were foolish, thinking the

00:43:50light stones would be enough to keep the bloodsucker

00:44:20it started to attack them blindly.

00:44:24Vorden, get out of there!

00:44:26Raiden said. What do you mean?

00:44:28Vorden asked. Can't you see?

00:44:30The beast is only attacking Ian. Something is

00:44:32attracting it to Ian.

00:46:39the bloodsucker dug its claw into the

00:46:41wall and started to climb upwards.

00:46:45said Vorden. It's too dark and the beast

00:46:47can attack from anywhere. He lifted

00:46:49his hands and started to crumble up each

00:46:51of the chairs into several metal spikes,

00:46:53all looming above his head.

00:46:55The other spears that were targeted had managed

00:46:57to penetrate him, going through his body

00:46:59and sticking him to the ceiling of the dome.

00:47:01However, the hole marks that could

00:47:03be seen in his body quickly healed up.

00:47:05This thing, why isn't it dead yet?

00:47:07Vorden said. Its eyes

00:47:09were slowly adjusting to the light that had

00:47:11surrounded Vorden, and now it could see

00:47:47and although it didn't look exactly like

00:47:49Quinn, it had similar qualities

00:47:51in its face. He didn't know what happened

00:47:53to make Quinn turn into a creature like this,

00:47:55but he could feel that the beast and Quinn

00:47:57was the same person.

00:47:59What are you doing? Ian shouted. Kill it!

00:48:01Ian then pulled out his trusty dagger,

00:48:03ready to attack, but when he

00:48:05looked in front of him, the beast had vanished from

00:48:07his view. The next second, he was staring

00:48:09up at the ceiling with his back on the floor.

00:48:13his legs were now completely detached

00:56:13and they said something about Quinn being there

00:56:39her bed, and pulled out a small little box.

00:56:41As she opened the box, a circular

00:56:43black sphere-shaped ball was inside.

00:56:45She then tapped the top of the sphere,

00:56:47and a clicking sound was heard.

00:56:49A white ring started to light up, and went

00:56:51around in circles for a few seconds,

00:56:53before it finally completely lit up.

00:56:55Agent 83, what seems

00:56:57to be the problem? A voice said from the

00:56:59ball. Is it to do with the mission?

00:57:03help in our cause. However,

00:59:51when he was a safe enough distance away,

00:59:53he finally turned around.

00:59:55In that instant, a sound could be

00:59:57heard from behind. Quinn immediately

00:59:59turned around and could see a horrible

01:00:01figure running towards him.

01:00:03It clearly wasn't an ordinary animal
