00:00On the fifth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me
00:02the funniest show on telly.
00:04Hacks. It's hacks.
00:06Season three was on this year.
00:07I mean, they're really tearing through it,
00:09and each season is better than the last,
00:10and there's a fourth on the way.
00:11What's up, Josefina?
00:12Ava, do you need me to give your hair CPR
00:15because it is limp and lifeless?
00:17No workaround!
00:19Jean Smart, I mean, she's a titan.
00:22She's a TV titan, and she's probably
00:24has one of her best roles as Deborah Vance,
00:26who is an Asian comedian struggling to keep up
00:29in this modern age, and she's paired with a writer who,
00:33it's just funny, because her and this writer,
00:35they clash, but they also have a lot of love
00:37for each other as their relationship deepens,
00:40and Deborah is, she's, you know, very harsh
00:43to this writer who's played by Hannah Einbinder,
00:47who is absolutely fantastic,
00:48holds her own against Jean Smart in these scenes.
00:50And you make me want more for myself.
00:51So you're mad at me for pushing you to be better?
00:54Yes!
00:55But she just can't get enough.
00:56It's almost like she's her Achilles heel,
00:57and everyone around her is like,
00:58she's toxic, she's treating you awfully,
01:00but she just sees something in Deborah
01:02that other people don't.
01:04And I think it's that kind of unlikely pairing
01:06which really provides a show with a lot of heart,
01:08but also a lot of tension, a lot of, I mean,
01:10in season three, there are moments
01:12that will have you gasping.
01:13There are, you know, there's this commonly held belief
01:16that sitcoms or comedy shows,
01:17they don't really have cliffhanger endings
01:20or endings where, you know, you're worried
01:22about what's going to happen next,
01:23but Hacks has that.
01:24Hacks has a bit of everything,
01:26and it's just really funny.
01:27So if you want to watch something this Christmas,
01:28they'll have you howling at the screen,
01:30and you might wake up, you're, I don't know,
01:32you're sleeping, whoever on the sofa.
01:35Hacks is the show for you.
01:36You can watch Hacks on Prime Video in the UK.
01:39I know there's a lot of debate about
01:40the episodes are always delayed,
01:42but rest assured, you can sit down
01:44and binge it all this Christmas.
