00:00In a dialogue between rice millers, traders, importers, and the government,

00:05the millers insisted that the high price of rice does not come from them.

00:11To help the voters, the groups will sell cheaper rice to their families.

00:23To lower the price of rice,

00:25the millers, traders, and importers will sell cheaper rice to the markets.

00:31According to the Center City Rice Mill Owners and Traders Association,

00:35their sale of rice is low to wholesalers and retailers.

00:39That's why they can only sell rice to the markets for P40 to P45 per kilo

00:45so that the buyers can buy.

00:48Let's do P40 first. If it's sustainable for P30, P36, P38, we will do it.

00:54We are willing to help the government so that we can always have low prices of rice for our citizens.

01:02According to the Department of Agriculture,

01:04the rice will be sold through the Kadiwa Centers

01:07at an earlier time so that it can help with the Christmas season.

01:11At the same time, the Bureau of Customs announced that

01:14they will open the warehouses that were once closed in Bulacan.

01:18The BOC gave 15 days for the closed warehouses to submit documents.

01:24They are investigating the high price of rice and smuggling allegations.

01:30We served a warrant. We are looking for proof of payment of duties.

01:34In the meantime, since our country needs cheap supply of rice,

01:39we will open and monitor the output of rice from their warehouses.
