00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has been appointed as the new leader of the Philippine Air Force.

00:06He is also the head of the agency's role in dealing with the calamities and humanitarian efforts.

00:13Kenneth Paciante was at the center of the news.

00:18The leader of the Philippine Air Force has been transferred from the leadership of the retired PAF Commanding General Lieutenant General Stephen Pareño

00:25to his new leader, Lieutenant General Arthur Cordura.

00:30The Commander-in-Chief of the Philippine Armed Forces, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., is the first in the change of command.

00:37In his inauguration, the President recognized the successes of the PAF under the leadership of Mr. Pareño.

00:43He has a particular commitment to the airspace of the country, the implementation of maritime patrol missions, and the preservation of the territorial integrity of the country.

00:51His steadfast commitment to the command has thrust, accelerated PAF with excellence,

00:58and has inspired every airman to embrace the ideals of competence, professionalism, and responsibilities,

01:06values that have guided your every endeavor.

01:10The legacy of your leadership is etched in the achievements of the Philippine Air Force under your watch.

01:16The Executive Board of the Philippine Air Force also recognized the role of the PAF in dealing with the calamities and humanitarian efforts,

01:22where many Filipinos were helped.

01:24The PAF's efforts in leading the institution through capability enhancement should not be neglected.

01:34Your tenure, Lieutenant General Pareño, likewise marks significant strides in capability enhancement for our Air Force.

01:42The acquisition of one C-295 medium lift aircraft, two T-129 attack helicopters,

01:50one mobile radar, one fixed radar, and 10 S-70I Black Hawk helicopters, among other critical equipment,

02:00has increased our readiness to confront evolving challenges.

02:04The Commander-in-Chief of the AFP also said that he is confident that the PAF will continue to improve under the leadership of Cordura.

02:10At the same time, the PAF's commitment to the Air Force continues to be well-received, especially in the defense of the country.

02:18These times call for vigilance and for resolve.

02:21There is no room for complacency, for any pause in our efforts to risk compromising the safety and welfare of the Filipino people.

02:31We must ensure that the continued modernization of our Armed Forces remains a priority,

02:38empowering us to protect the ideals that define our nation.

02:43Cordura is the 40th Commander-in-Chief of the PAF.

02:46He is a member of the San Fernando Pampanga who served as a cum laude,

02:50as part of the Big Kiss Lahi Class of 1990 of the Philippine Military Academy.

02:55Before his appointment as the PAF Commander-in-Chief,

02:58one of his key positions in his military career was the Vice Chief of Staff of the AFP,

03:04also the Vice Commander and Chief of Air Staff of the PAF,

03:07Commander of the Air Force Reserve Command, and others.
