00:00Many, many are the last ones to sell illegal fireworks online.

00:05The PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group has not stopped its operations against them.

00:16A few days before the new year, the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group

00:22brought their cyber patrolling to watch out for those who are selling illegal fireworks online.

00:28In fact, more than 115 online platforms were taken down by the PNP-ACG.

00:35Among them, the 57th Facebook page, more than 50 ex-accounts,

00:41one website, and one account in the audio streaming app.

00:44Aside from this, more than 200 online platforms are also being watched by the PNP-ACG.

00:51From December 6 to 26, the PNP-ACG has already carried out eight operations against those who are selling fireworks online.

00:59According to the operations, more than 10 were arrested.

01:03More than 76,000 illegal firecrackers were recovered by the authorities.

01:10But the violation of RA 7183, which regulates the sale, distribution, manufacture and use of firecrackers

01:19and other pyrotechnic devices, will be faced by the suspects.

01:23In the province of Rizal, more than 400 pieces of firecrackers worth Php 25,000 were destroyed by the police of Rizal PPO and Bureau of Fire Protection.

01:36According to Rizal Police Provincial Director Police Colonel Felipe Maragon,

01:41most minors were caught by firecrackers.

01:46Young people can see on social media websites and apps the trending firecrackers made at home.

01:54The so-called firecrackers are a type of illegal homemade firecrackers using recyclable materials

02:01such as bottles of soft drinks or water, cans of sardines or polyvinyl pipes or PVC.

02:08Those who use it, like children and young people, can be affected by it because it has a strong smoke because it uses denatured alcohol.

02:19If it explodes, it can be affected, it can cause injuries such as burning of skin, bruising, and other related injuries that can be caused by it.

02:37According to the DOH, most minors are still the victims of illegal firecrackers.

02:44The Health Department recommends to avoid using illegal firecrackers because it can cause death if it is too strong or too weak.

02:52It can also cause cut of the fingers, hands, or other parts of the body.
