St Petrocs client Sarah talks about homelessness in Cornwall
Transcript
00:00I didn't actually sleep. I stayed up because I was too scared. I kind of hid out of the
00:12way of everyone. It was scary but I managed. Not having anywhere to call my own, not having
00:22my own space, not being able to do what I want, like walking on eggshells around people,
00:28being like a burden to everyone. And the money situation is very difficult as well.
00:36It was good to actually talk to people about what I had been through but I didn't expect
00:41everything to move so quickly. I thought it was going to take over a week or so. But the
00:46day I came here to speak to Faye it was, we've got somewhere for you and it's yours. It was
00:54really overwhelming at that point. It's just really nice to have my own space, be able to
01:02put my stuff away somewhere and not just be in bags and suitcases because that's what I've been
01:08living out of for the last 10 months.
