00:00On the second occasion, the Election Management System, or EMS, was used for live testing in Haton ng Bayan 2025.

00:09This is the story of Velko Studio.

00:13More than four months before the 2025 National and Local Elections,

00:17Part 2 of the live testing was done for the trust build of the Election Management System, or EMS,

00:23in the office of the Commission on Elections earlier.

00:25Here, the production mode that will be used for ballot printing was shown as one of the final steps of the EMS testing.

00:32This was followed by the live EMS testing of the local or development mode of the EMS on December 23.

00:38The EMS live testing was done to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of the automated election system

00:44and to avoid any type of alterations to the ballots.

00:47The US-based international partner, ProVNV, showed the encoding of the source code to generate the trust build.

00:55It will be sent to the Philippines for certification from the Philippine Central Bank in January.

01:00This will be returned to the Dilla in January, or going to the Dilla in January, the 4th.

01:06So we turned over the PMO for safekeeping at the end time.

01:10So when they say it will be in stock by January 4, when we use it, we have January 4, 5, and then 6 will start printing each month, printing roughly.

01:25What do you expect to finish?

01:27April.

01:28From January to April.

01:30On January 4, the live EMS production mode and the certification process will be part 3.

01:35IT experts who attended the live testing said that there will be a demonstration of hash code verification

01:41to ensure that the same hash code is still used in mock elections.

01:46At our pre-lots, at our final testing in Sealing on the day of election itself, even as you vote,

01:53and in the ER, we will see that it's that same hash code that will appear.

01:58IT experts continue to monitor to ensure a proper and integrated process of automated elections.

02:06Our follow-through is not yet finished because we are doing it end-to-end.

02:10The next step that we need to do is the result of the trusted build program.

02:18Is that really what we will load in each ASM machine, in each CCS server and so forth?

02:25That is what we need to follow in the succeeding activities of Home Elect.

02:31Meanwhile, the printing of balotas will start on January 6, 2025 at 1 a.m. in the National Printing Office.
