00:00Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy joining us here on one of five to the fan coach Jerry
00:19gave a lot of praise on Tuesday when he was speaking with us gave a lot of praise to Cooper
00:23rush getting the run game into optimal matchups at the line of scrimmage. Could you just talk
00:27about how Cooper's progressed on that front and how comfortable he is at the line of
00:31scrimmage right now? Yeah, definitely. I mean, I mean, you have to have it in today's game.
00:36You know, you're there's so much that goes on at the line of scrimmage. There's so much
00:39that goes on with your cadence, you know, defenses are holding the skies longer than
00:43ever. It's a very, very common to see things held to the snap of the ball, particularly
00:48particularly with the safety. So it's a very big part, not only the run game, but also
00:53the protection, you know, adjustments and he's exceptional. He does. He does an excellent
01:00job of that and it keeps us in favorable place on that front. Just the idea of work being
01:06done by the quarterback, you know, pre snap. How do you guys prevent defenses from getting
01:11a beat on your language and your communication? Is it common practice have language that varies
01:16week to week or dummy calls? Or is it something where those signals and those that language
01:21has to be consistent for the continuity of the offense? Oh, absolutely. I mean, you're
01:25like, you're always adjusting your language. You're very, very aware, you know, we we watch
01:30the TV copies, you know, as far as our game analysis process, no different than, you know,
01:36the defense is watching the offense offense watches the defense. So self-scout to me is
01:41something that I think you you cannot spend enough time on, you know, whether it's the
01:45players watching themselves, you know, making sure they clearly identify what they're putting
01:50on film, you know, particular techniques, you know, stance adjustments, all those things.
01:55So yeah, that's that's the real, you know, detail of winning at the line of scrimmage.
02:00So I mean, frankly, you know, every time we have a walkthrough, you know, that when we
02:05break, we have a signal session, because that's that's something that's very, very fluid and
02:11you're always changing and adjusting.
