00:00Well, we have one here that's great.
00:04We've been talking about Mike Evans and what a treat it's been to be alive during the time
00:07of Mike Evans.
00:08A lot of people underappreciate what Mike Evans has done, but now looking to record
00:12a record 1000 or more yard receiving season, there's an opportunity to wager upon it.
00:17So Joe, take it away here.
00:19This is fascinating.
00:20What do you have?
00:21Yeah, look, as I said before, if he averages 103 and a half over the last three games,
00:26Mike Evans will get to this market.
00:28It seemed like very far-fetched.
00:29He had an injury, I think it was at 335, but he came back from the injury and we're
00:33all kind of going, I don't know if this is going to happen.
00:35Guess what?
00:36It looks like we're getting real close.
00:38It's definitely within the range of outcomes.
00:39You can get right now plus 120 to keep the streak alive.
00:42He's already done it for 10 years.
00:43This would be 11.
00:44And just for context, too, with Mike Evans, he is number 24 on the all-time list, 12,429
00:52yards ahead of Brandon Marshall, but behind Art Monk.
00:56Other active folks still in the league, there's only one right now, DeAndre Hopkins at 21
01:01with 12,958 yards.
01:02He had some huge seasons back with the Texans in the day.
01:06So Mike Evans has been the model of consistency, which is also stunning.
01:10You know, he did play with Tom Brady, but that was a short window and he's played with
01:14Baker Mayfield the last couple of years, but the quarterback play for Mike Evans has been
01:19a lot of Mike Glennons and a lot of Josh McCowns and a lot of different quarterbacks over the
01:25years.
01:26I think that's what makes this run so special.
01:28If you look at Jerry Rice's consistency, right, you're looking at some of these other wide
01:31receivers that have had really good quarterback play with really consistency there.
01:36That's why they are where they are.
01:37Mike Evans has had anything but consistent quarterback play through most of his career.
01:42And in this back half of his career, he's had some better ones, which has really kept
01:45the streak alive.
01:46But I don't think it gets talked about enough how good he's been.
01:49You know, Jameis Winston throwing, you know, 30 touchdowns and 30 picks is not always the
01:53way to success.
01:55So he has done a lot without some of the most consistent quarterback play.
02:00And I think that's what makes this record even more impressive.
02:04It's not even what he's doing right now because people say, well, he's got more games to do
02:07it now.
02:08And that's fair.
02:09It's a fair assessment.
02:10Well, let's also not give him his flowers for doing what he did for so many years with
02:15a lot of quarterbacks where we were kind of shaking our head and going, who's playing
02:18quarterback for Tampa this week.
02:23Yeah.
02:24Yeah.
02:25Yeah.
02:26Yeah.
02:27Yeah.
