Four police dogs have been honored and discharged after a years of public service after reaching the retirement age of seven. Their handlers have gone to great lengths to make sure they go to great homes to live out the next phase of their lives.

00:00Tiny, Candy, Pinky, and Bobby are four good boys and girls who have kept the public safe
00:07for years.
00:09People may not know it, but these dogs and their nimble noses have done everything from
00:14patrolling the streets to sniffing for contraband.
00:20After an illustrious career in public service, they're being let go.
00:24Not because of poor performance, but because they've reached the ripe old retirement age
00:29of seven.
00:31The four dogs were put up for adoption.
00:34But because of their good work, their handlers went out of the way to make sure that they
00:38were going to good homes.
00:41Close to 100 people applied to take the dogs.
00:50At their honors ceremony, the dogs were presented with hordes of new toys, treats, and goodies.
00:57All so they can focus on enjoying their retirement instead of taking a bite out of crime.
