00:00Walker Buehler of My Los Angeles Dodgers, a homegrown hero, wins a World Series,
00:05but now on the way to Boston, what do we know about the deal?
00:10Look, at this point, I think it's fair to say that other teams must have had some injury
00:14concerns, Dubs, with Walker Buehler to only, you know, hand him that one-year deal. The other thing
00:19that I would say is maybe from Buehler's perspective, he's still very young, feeling
00:24like if the four or five-year deals like Blake Snell got weren't out there, maybe he felt like
00:29he needed to go prove himself again. Now, I know Dubs, he was fantastic in the postseason,
00:34but remember, he's had a lot of injury issues over the last couple of years.
00:38So maybe this works out well for both sides. Buehler goes to Boston and does a really good
00:43job in that one-year contract that he ends up getting, and then maybe he goes back on the free
00:48agent market again. That would seem to be what is going on here, because otherwise, he's the
00:52kind of pitcher that absolutely could get a multi-year deal. Proving himself is something
00:56that he wants to do very clearly, and I think teams want to see him a little bit more healthy.
01:01He definitely will be a one-to-watch player, I think, this season.
