00:00Meanwhile, Filipinos have a truly world-class talent.
00:03One of them is the Filipino milliner or hat maker
00:06who was the first to create the iconic hats
00:08of the blockbuster musical film, The Wicked.
00:11That's the first story of Lynchee.
00:16The handsome hats in the blockbuster musical film, The Wicked, caught the eye.
00:21Did you know that one of us Filipinos
00:24was the first to create these hats
00:26as a senior milliner or hat maker?
00:29This is Harvey Santo, a famous Kavite
00:31who has already earned a name in Europe.
00:34In fact, the Queen of the United Kingdom
00:37visited his hat exhibit some years back,
00:39the late Queen Elizabeth II.
00:42That was a very special moment.
00:44She has this great command of the room.
00:48She's got a very good sense of humor.
00:52She even made a joke.
00:53I was telling her,
00:54I used to be a ballet dancer,
00:55and she replied,
00:57that must have been a leap.
00:59The cast of The Wicked is big,
01:01so Harvey can't count
01:02how many hats they made.
01:05But she remembers the excitement and joy
01:07when she finally saw these hats
01:10on the giant screen.
01:12The very first time,
01:15the entire team was asked to do,
01:19was asked to see a private screening
01:22before it went out.
01:23And it was insane.
01:25We were, we were there.
01:26We were crying.
01:28Not just of the story,
01:30but sheer proud.
01:32Because it's, yeah,
01:33it's like having a baby.
01:35It's like,
01:36Hey, that's mine.
01:37Hey, that's mine.
01:38Hey, that's yours, right?
01:40We were nudging each other.
01:42And it's like, it's,
01:43it's so humbling.
01:45It's, we feel really, really proud.
01:47Cinemai and Buntal are just a few
01:49of the local materials
01:51that Harvey uses
01:52in his creations in London.
01:55Here's his plan.
01:56And I still have yet to make
01:57the perfect salakot for Ascot.
02:02I am so curious.
02:03I want to see that
02:04in the future, Harvey.
02:05We need to update the salakot, right?
02:10Yeah, I want to see that on Hollywood stars.
