00:00So we, HARAM, or the Association of Advocacy of the People of Malaysia,
00:05by this, declare the formation of a special secretariat
00:09to investigate the movement against corruption in the national level,
00:14which will be named as the Secretariat to Purify Malaysia,
00:18where this secretariat has three demands,
00:22the first is to unite the student movement and the community,
00:28where we urge all student movements and communities,
00:32regardless of the layer,
00:34civil society to unite in the effort to fight corruption.
00:38The second is to mobilize the people,
00:43where we will do this mobilization in a large scale,
00:47which will be carried out to show the solidarity of the people
00:51in opposing this tyranny.
00:55And the third is to support the government,
00:59where we urge the government to take drastic steps
01:03to ensure that those involved in this corruption
01:07are punished without prejudice like what they promised
01:11before they became the government today.
01:14HARAM also urges all Malaysians to jointly support this movement,
01:18where corruption is a great threat to the future of the country,
01:23and we cannot stand still anymore.
01:25So why are we holding this media conference today?
01:28First, we want to show our solidarity,
01:31we fully support the student movement in Sabah,
01:35in the effort to convey the voice of the people,
01:38to fight the corruption issues in Sabah.
01:41And second, we see that this corruption issue
01:43is not just an issue that needs to be raised at the national level,
01:46this is a national issue.
01:48In the past, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim promised
01:51that we would catch these corrupt people,
01:55but what is happening today?
01:57Many have been released,
01:59released and released in this era,
02:02in this Madani era.
02:03So we see that this corruption issue is a national issue.
02:06So because of that,
02:08we think that there needs to be a secretariat
02:13that will be named the Secretariat of the Holy of Holies of Malaysia.
02:17We urge and invite all student movements throughout Malaysia,
02:22and also civil movements,
02:24to come together to ensure that our country is free
02:28from the empty promises,
02:31which in the past wanted to eradicate corruption,
02:33but now it's just an empty rhetoric.
02:35It's just gone.
02:36The movement to eradicate the corruption in Sabah,
02:41how does that come in?
02:46Who is the members here?
02:48What kind of members?
02:50For Gempur Rasuah Sabah.
02:52For Gempur Rasuah Sabah,
02:54because there will be a demonstration there on the 31st of the month,
02:57the majority of the movement are students from UMS,
03:00University of Malaysia Sabah.
03:01The movement is specifically for students in UMS.
03:04So they are the main members of the movement.
03:07We are here to show our support and solidarity,
03:09and we also help those in need.
03:11For example, if we can hand over the memorandum to the PMO,
03:14or if we can move any form of work or movement,
03:17that is what we will help.
03:19As best as we can.
03:20The changes that we want to make,
03:22specifically not only in the case of Musaman,
03:25recently we had a case about the corruption issue in Sabah,
03:28which involved several people in JRS, BN and so on.
03:32So what we want to fight for,
03:34is to show that this is a symbol,
03:36that if this issue happens,
03:38don't assume that no one will react.
03:40Because most of the issues now,
03:42when corruption issues occur in the government,
03:45not many parties want to speak up.
03:47With the assumption that we have a government of hope,
03:49that can guarantee our position to fight corruption.
03:52However, there are many issues,
03:54when, as my friend said, it happens,
03:56there are also many issues that still,
03:58the corruption issue happens.
03:59So what we try to do,
04:01the changes that we want to bring to all of you,
04:03is that we are brave enough to demand change,
04:06and we will fight to the point,
04:08where the government is afraid to proceed,
04:11with any issue that involves corruption like this.
04:13We will become the check and balance,
04:16since the backbenchers from the government,
04:18don't have much responsibility to support the government.
04:21I call on the Sabah people,
04:23students and people in Malaysia,
04:26to fully support the movement,
04:28that opposes corruption,
04:30that causes harm to the people.
04:33And we understand,
04:35from our friends in Sabah,
04:37that the number of people who will protest,
04:39against the Sabah corruption,
04:41is up to 10,000 for now.
04:43Oppose corruption!
04:45Oppose corruption!
04:46Oppose!
04:47Oppose!
04:48Oppose!
04:49Oppose corruption!
04:50Oppose corruption!
