00:00Local governments and other agencies reminded the public to be ready to greet the new year.

00:10Six days before the new year, local government units and other government agencies are preparing to greet the new year.

00:20According to the Bureau of Fire Protection,

00:22the target is to maintain a low number of incidents of fire,

00:26and low number of firecrackers while welcoming the new year.

00:30Under Executive Order No. 28 and Republic Act No. 7183,

00:36firecrackers are strictly prohibited from being used and sold,

00:40such as Y2C, Piccolo, Bawang, Five Star, Atomic Bomb, and other types of pyrotechnic devices.

00:48This is why the BFPA Fire Safety Education and Fire Prevention Campaign is more focused on this issue.

00:54Every day, firetrucks are moving around the area for the visibility and public address system to alert people.

01:02Quezon Memorial Circle is one of the main places in Metro Manila where people can watch and enjoy the fireworks display.

01:10Based on the QC Ordinance,

01:12those who will be caught will be fined Php 1,000 to Php 5,000 and jailed for 3 to 1 year, depending on the grievances.

01:21There are also fire displays at the New Year Countdown in Ayala Avenue in Makati and several other main places in LGUs.

01:29The BFP continues to assist local governments in controlling the use of firecrackers.

01:36Firecrackers are strictly prohibited in residential areas.

01:40According to the Bureau of Fire Protection, it is better to attend music festivals in localities.

01:46We designate community fireworks display areas.

01:52We know that Filipinos prefer to use torotot or casserole or caldero, which is safer nowadays.

02:08Our fellow Filipinos attend the so-called musical festivities in their localities where there are also countdowns.

02:19Quezon Memorial Circle also reminds people not to bring plastic bottles and plastic sandals.

02:25Instead, bring a reusable bag, reusable water container, and reusable cutlery.
