00:00Aside from cheap rice for the Filipinos, the government continues to help farmers so that their livelihoods can thrive.

00:15More than P15,700 sacks of BBM rice were sold by the National Irrigation Administration or NIA-CALINGA.
00:25This is still part of the program of President Fernando Marcos, Jr. that was given by the Decaldad and the Filipinos can reach rice.
00:33From September to December 6, 2024, we have sold P15,705 sacks and 10 kilos per sack.
00:47According to the Provincial Office, 3,800 sacks were sold to the NIA Regional Office,
00:53750 sacks to Fugao, 250 sacks to Mountain Province, and 10,905 sacks to Calinga.
01:00The cheap rice sold to the Filipinos is part of the BBM program from the NIA Farming Support Services Program.
01:09Under the program, senior citizens, solo parents, four-piece, and PWD can buy up to 10 kilos of rice that is worth P29 per kilo.
01:22Meanwhile, the NIA has increased the number of farmers in Calinga and some parts of Quezon and Malig-Isabela to 246 hectares.
01:36Farmers are also free to receive rice, fertilizer, fertilizer, and pesticides to help the farmers' livelihoods.
