00:00So we're here at Flagstaff Group at Mutandarra at 8.30pm.
00:05Calls were received by 000 to a factory alight.
00:08So Fire and Rescue initially responded to crews,
00:11and on arrival those first crews found a building at Flagstaff Group's
00:15wind processing facility was alight.
00:18The response was escalated to firefighter trucks
00:21and included our ladder platform from Wollongong,
00:24where firefighters had to cut their way into the building initially.
00:28Two different firefighting crews aggressively attacked that fire
00:31from either side of the building.
00:33They did a great job and managed to save it to one part of the complex,
00:37but that part of the complex has been totally destroyed by fire.
00:41It's about 50 metres by 50 metres, so it's a substantial area
00:45and that is going to have an impact on Flagstaff Group's
00:49linen processing facility here at Mutandarra.
00:52But because of the work that firefighters did in those initial 30 minutes,
00:55it did minimise the damage to just that area,
00:59and it means the rest of their operations here will hopefully be
01:02up and running again by Monday.
01:04The incident's now moved into more of an investigation phase
01:07where we're trying to work out exactly how and where this fire started,
01:12and we'll do that with our specialist fire investigation and research team.
01:16But we'll have crews here for most of the weekend
01:18assisting Flagstaff Group to hopefully get back up and running
01:21as soon as possible.
