00:18A few days before the new year, the PNP-ANTI-CYBERCRIME GROUP

00:24launched a cyber-patrolling operation to monitor illegal fireworks online.

00:31In fact, PNP-ACG has taken down more than 115 online platforms.

00:37The PNP-ANTI-CYBERCRIME GROUP has taken down more than 50 Facebook pages,

00:41more than 50 ex-accounts, a website, and an account on the audio streaming app.

00:46In addition, PNP-ACG is also monitoring more than 200 online platforms.

00:53From December 6 to 26, PNP-ACG has launched eight operations against those who sell fireworks online.

01:01According to the operations, more than 10 people were arrested.

01:05More than 76,000 illegal firecrackers were recovered by the authorities.

01:12But the violation of RA 7183, which regulates the sale, distribution, manufacture and use of firecrackers

01:21and other pyrotechnic devices, will be faced by the suspects.

01:25In the province of Rizal, more than 400 pieces of firecrackers worth P25,000 were destroyed by the police of Rizal PPO and Bureau of Fire Protection.

01:38According to Rizal Police Provincial Director Police Colonel Felipe Maragon,

01:44Most minors have acquired firecrackers.

01:48Young people can see on social media websites and apps the trending firecrackers made at home.

01:56The so-called firecrackers are a type of illegal homemade firecrackers using recyclable materials

02:03such as bottles of soft drinks or water, cans of sardines, or polyvinyl pipes or PVC.

02:10Young people can use firecrackers.

02:16Firecrackers are powerful because they use denatured alcohol.

02:22If it explodes, it can cause injuries, skin burns, bruises, and other related injuries.

02:39According to the DOH, most minors are still the victims of illegal firecrackers.

02:46The Health Department reminds that illegal firecrackers should not be used because it can cause death if it explodes.

02:54It can also cause cuts to the fingers, hands, or other parts of the body.
