Michael Carrick enjoyed the draw with Burnley and felt that it was a test for both sides and it was an even game.

00:00I really enjoyed the game, actually. I thought it was a real test of both teams, I think.
00:06I think we tested each other in so many different ways. It wasn't the most entertaining, exciting
00:12maybe for, in terms of goalmouth action, but I thought within the game there was a lot
00:18of really good level scenarios, really, and we dealt with it really well. I thought we
00:26stepped up to it really well. We defended particularly well for large spells. Couldn't
00:32quite find that bit around the goal, around that little final pass, the final action that
00:35we normally find, but controlled the game well at times. I just thought it was a pretty
00:41even game in the most of the two games for the run that they've been on for us to do
00:47that. I think we can take a lot of positives from that. Again, it shows when we're at a
00:52certain level, we're a good team. We've just got to find that consistency, obviously, to
00:59get where we want to be.
01:00Listen, we didn't play tonight to defend for the game. I thought we controlled the game
01:05for spells as well. I thought we had good possession and made them work for it, made
01:09them close a lot of spaces off and work really hard for the result as well. It's two sides
01:15of the game. Possession is not everything. It doesn't win your game's possession and
01:19it takes a bit of everything in the game to win it. You've got to be kind of humble
01:24enough and certainly not precious enough when we defend. We want to defend well and we want
01:29to enjoy the defending part of it. We did tonight. We were in a good place mentally.
01:33We were ready for it and we knew we had to be. It's finding that edge every week.
