00:00The Department of Social Welfare and Development, or DSWD, has distributed more than 8 million
00:05family food packs, or FFPs, to nearly 7 million families affected by various disasters last
00:12year, the Philippine News Agency reports.
00:14These food packs, which are part of a record 10 million produced by DSWD's National Resource
00:20Operations Center and Visayas Disaster Response Center, provided crucial aid following storms,
00:26earthquake and volcanic eruptions.
00:29Over 524-thousand families benefited from the agency's Cash for Work, Food for Work
00:34and Emergency Cash Transfer programs.
00:37DSWD officials attribute the successful distribution to improved disaster response efforts and
00:43stronger collaboration with partner agencies.
