Police are questioning a man after a woman fell to her death from a high rise building in western Sydney early this morning.

00:00I believe around 1.40 this morning, a 39-year-old woman fell from the seventh floor of an apartment
00:07building right here in Parramatta and as you can see behind me, investigation is still
00:11very much underway.
00:12Police have created a further out exclusion zone, the crime scene was smaller at the time
00:18but they have asked people and the public to move backwards as they conduct aerial imaging
00:22of this street, perhaps to get a better idea of understanding the nature of the heist as
00:26well as the situation that has occurred this morning.
00:30Now already, a 40-year-old man known to the woman, believed to be her partner, is talking
00:35to police.
00:36He's being questioned by police as we speak and remains at Parramatta Police Station as
00:39part of the investigation that is underway.
00:43Police are also hoping to speak to people who live in this apartment block to perhaps
00:47learn more about what happened after and in the lead up to this woman falling from the
00:52seventh floor.
00:54Already from the few people we've spoken to off camera, there was very limited knowledge
00:57of this incident, some people mentioning that they were either away and had only recently
01:01come back or indeed were asleep at the time of the incident.
01:05Now as for the incident itself, police attended the scene alongside paramedics and other emergency
01:11services where initially her critical injuries were attempted to be treated including the
01:15provision of CPR to the woman, however unable to revive her and she did die at the scene.
01:21This is very much an evolving scene as you can see, this investigation is still underway
