00:00If the methodology doesn't change, and it's probably that stability, then what does have to change?
00:06In what sense? Sorry, about?
00:08The scoring aspect of the game?
00:10Just in terms of, the method you've employed has got you to a certain point,
00:16and presumably they're the methods you've always used, so you're sticking with that?
00:20No, they're certainly not the methods we've always used.
00:22We've got a completely different cultural group here, a completely different style,
00:26we're playing with different players, I was told I would never play anything over the 4-4-2,
00:30I think we've played it twice since I've been there.
00:32So no, there's lots of differences.
00:34Very similar players, we haven't been in a situation to cherry-pick players,
00:39who would just go, right, they'll do the job for us.
00:41And the spending power has been nowhere near what other teams have done over the last five seasons,
00:47not just my seasons here.
00:48So, eventually the collective coaching point, I believe in my coaching myself in doing that,
00:54but changing the group, adding to the group, what can you give,
00:59what level of the market can you get to, to really adapt the group?
01:03And I think that's a challenge here.
01:04Financially, obviously, that's been proven,
01:06so we're constantly working with a group of players to mould them into a group
01:11and add to them, and all the ability we've got to try and add to them
01:14to make it better and to make it stronger and to win more games.
01:17But the existence that you've got, do you feel you're getting the absolute best most out of them?
01:23I'm certainly trying, there's no guarantees,
01:25but I think there's been a lot of development through a lot of players here.
01:28You know, the ways of grading football, you know,
01:31because most people just purely, we've spoken about this a lot,
01:33my job here has been endless, but no-one really cares.
01:36They just bother about, go and win a game, mate.
01:38I've said that all the time.
01:39We've saved hundreds of millions of pounds here,
01:41and players play trading, wages, all the rest of it,
01:43skinning the squad down, all the rest of it.
01:45It's not relevant, just win a game.
01:47So, it depends how you measure it.
01:49You know, I know the work we've done here, I know the work we've done financially,
01:51I know the work we've done with players.
01:53Players here are worth ten times what they were worth when we got here.
01:56So, there's development.
01:57But like I say, the only development fans and the media and everyone cares about,
02:01including myself to some degree, I have to care about the rest of it.
02:04But win games, be successful.
02:06Never think, I don't want that, that's my number one.
02:09But while I'm doing that here, it hasn't been just concentrating on that.
02:12Sometimes you get the luxury of going, your job is to just concentrate on the team,
02:15that's it, because everything else is in place.
02:17It clearly hasn't been here, and it's still not.
02:20I said at the beginning of the season, there's miles to go,
02:23but everyone's just making up, why aren't you doing this, why aren't you doing that?
02:26It's endless work to go here.
02:27So, it depends how you measure it, is my point.
02:29If you measure it on just winning games, we need to do better.
02:31There's no two ways about it, I need to do better.
02:33If you measure it on the whole job, I'm pretty happy.
