00:00Oh, let's let's just start with that odds board for 2025 Masters Scotty Scheffler is the favorite
00:08in all four of these majors, but the Masters he has tied for the shortest odds along with the
00:14US Open a plus 410 and then you have Rory McIlroy 9 to 1 John Rahman 11 to 1 Xander Shopley 12 to 1
00:22Ludwig at 15 to 1 Colin Warakawa at 20 to 1. So well, you know what's crazy about Scotty
00:29is that, you know, we've we kind of talked about throughout the year a little bit when
00:34when Scotty started really getting going and then you started to see his odds dip down to
00:38we're like, oh, you know, Tiger got down to was it 2 to 1 sometimes to win golf tournaments,
00:44you know, Scotty got close to, you know, 3 to 1 at times and we see plus 360 at least on the site
00:50that I looked at for Scotty to win the Masters and the closest anybody is as far as odds go
00:56to being as far as just runner-up. I guess you could say as far as odds Scotty's plus 400 the
01:03PJ and Rory's plus 950. So 550 as far as the dispersion between those two. So I mean, it's
01:10just the gap is so big right now. The odds makers have so much respect for Scotty and what he might
01:15do this major season. Yeah. I mean, I think look we have we really have hammered the the Scotty
01:22is a horse for course trope on the show. And I think we're going to continue. I'm at least I'm
01:27going to continue to do this for both comedic effect. But in this case, I think it's it is the
01:32one major that is played on the same course every single year and Scotty Sheffler has now won his
01:39two majors at that venue. He loves he clearly loves playing here. He's figured out some sort
01:44of formula of how to win at Augusta National and I don't think that's going to stop anytime soon.
01:49I mean, I think it's, you know, we saw a really strong showing in terms of, you know, the two
01:56closest challengers being Ludwig and Colin Morikawa this last year. Yeah, you know, obviously you have
02:02another, you know, contender in that top six of odds and John Rahm, who's won a green jacket.
02:08So he can clearly do it, you know, every year on Rory. It's like such a wild card. And like,
02:13is this the year where he's going to finally figure it out at Augusta National or is it
02:17going to be another year of trying, you know, over undercompensating in terms of the way you're
02:23going to go about prepping it and then, you know, having a forgettable finish, but he's the next guy
02:28on the list. But for me, I'm not betting against, I might bet against Scotty and some of these other
02:34majors. I ain't doing it at Augusta National. And you shouldn't. I think it's, but here I'll
02:42give you a history thing to, to, to play a devil's advocate here when it comes to Scotty Sheff. We're
02:47not winning the Masters and it's never been done three years in a row. Well, I guess Scotty didn't
02:52win. This wouldn't be three years ago. This would have been because John Rahm 23, Scotty 24. Okay.
02:57Well, nobody's ever won three of four except for Jack Nicklaus. So that would be the history side
03:03of this. I don't know how I forgot about John Rahm winning it back in 2023 because I thought
03:10he had more history to chase, but, but still he's got an opportunity to go back to back three or
03:15four. Jack's only done it. I, I have a hard time betting to say that Scotty wouldn't win there.
03:24But golly, it's I'm excited, but I think you did make a great point is talking about the Masters
03:30and it's the same course every year and we know what to expect. And I think the same goes for
03:36whale hollow, right? Like it's the same course. We know what to expect it. Yes. It's going to
03:40be probably a little longer, a little firmer rough. It's going to be a little bit more up,
03:44but when we go and look at this major calendar, the first two events are somewhat predictable
03:51with history where, you know, a lot of times, you know, there's, there's new venues or venues
03:56that hadn't been seen in, uh, like Valhalla, for instance, we hadn't seen it since Rory was,
04:01you know, had the crazy hair and, and these, uh, 2014, I think it was a year. So those first
04:07two events, I think it's going to be potentially easier for us to kind of have a sense of what
04:14that top, the leaderboard will be like, uh, August is easy, I would say, but, um, but I
04:19think the PJ championship as well, it's probably going to be pretty easy to figure out who those
04:23players are going to be at the top.
