00:00My name is Fatma Banaz. I'm one of the drivers in the Saudi NextGen program.
00:14I'm a doctor. I'm a surgeon, ear, nose and throat. I'm a mother of two kids. I'm an inventor. I have
00:25two patents for surgical instruments, and I'm a rally driver. I'm trying to be my best in
00:41everything, as much as I can, of course. I love the dunes all the time. Like,
00:46since my childhood, desert is part of my blood. I started to drive the car in the dunes,
00:54with my father, when I was like around 16 years old, around this time. Of course,
01:00a lot of mistakes, and I learned from the same mistakes. So I grew up around cars. I love the
01:06smell of the car. Nothing is complicated more than the human body. So I think if you master
01:18surgery, you can master anything else, but you have to learn first. So I hope to learn as much
01:24as I can, and this is a great opportunity for me. It's very challenging. The co-driver is a very
01:33good guy. I learned a lot from him. The terrain was mixed between desert, like dunes and rocks,
01:40my favorite. In the sand, it's like you're in a boat, but you're not in a boat. It's like,
01:47I always say the sand has a soul, and it's alive. Like, you want to go to one direction,
01:53but the sand has a mind of its own, and it takes you to another direction. So it's a
01:56different kind of challenge to drive in the dunes. I'm planning, actually,
02:04to get to the podium as a rally finisher Dakar next year.
