00:00Let's go back to what Louisa Erispe said regarding the printing of balotas for the 2025 elections.

00:12Angelique, the printing of balotas for the 2025 elections is already being arranged.

00:21The Commission of Elections will be the first to print the balotas that will be printed in the National Printing Office.

00:29According to Comelec Chairman George Erwin Garcia, the total number of balotas will be around 73 million.

00:3668 million for the national and local elections, and the rest will be for the parliamentary elections in BARMM.

00:43The deadline is only 77 days for all the printing to be completed.

00:48That's why Comelec's target is to finish 1 million balotas every day.

00:53Based on the balot phase released by Comelec, there are some changes in the appearance of the balotas.

00:58They have made the color of the balotas bolder.

01:01The names of the candidates are bolder and thicker.

01:06There are security marks so that the balotas won't be seen through.

01:10The paper is thinner, but Comelec assured that it won't be easily damaged or pierced.

01:16Angelique, regarding the candidates, Comelec said that 66 senatorial candidates and 155 party list were selected

01:25For the local candidates who have an appeal in the Supreme Court, Comelec said that if a temporary restraining order is issued,

01:34the higher court will be able to make a way for Comelec to include them in the balotas.

01:42But as long as there's no TRO, the printing of balotas will continue.

01:46Comelec's resolution on the cancellation and disqualification cases of some candidates has already been approved.

01:54For now, Comelec is prioritizing voting, overseas voting and local absentee voting, which is at P1.3 million and there are no local candidates.

02:07Angelique, I also mentioned earlier that Comelec inspected the data center that will be used for monitoring election returns in Halalan.

02:16This is part of the process for having an international certification, the whole system that will be used in the election.

02:23Now, we are here at the National Printing Office, waiting for the printing of balotas that will be used in the election of 2025.
