00:00Good afternoon.
00:24I wish you all a very happy new year.
00:28May the best things and best of opportunities come our way and the state sees progress in
00:42all aspects and all fields.
00:46The reason that we are assembling here today is that as per the schedule fixed by the Election
00:54Commission of India, the final photo electoral rolls of all 60 Assembly constituencies have
01:00been published today.
01:02That is on the 6th of January 2025 by the concerned electoral registration officers.
01:11Just before this press conference, we had a meeting with the political parties and we
01:16have shared with them the final electoral roll after the culmination of the summary
01:24revision exercise and the general public, the electors and the representatives of the
01:33political parties may inspect and verify the final photo electoral rolls at the offices
01:38of the concerned electoral registration officers or the assistant electoral registration officers
01:44and with also the concerned booth level officers.
01:48They may also visit the website of the Chief Electoral Officer's office and there also
01:58it has been uploaded.
02:01One printed copy of the final electoral rolls of each Assembly constituency will be made
02:06available free of cost to the recognized national and state political parties.
02:12The recognized state and national parties may depute one representative of their party
02:16duly authorized in writing to the CO's office for this purpose.
02:19This exercise has already been completed.
02:22They have just collected their sets of the electoral roll and there is a system, there
02:29is a SOP as per which if any extra sets are required then there are prescribed rates that
02:35has to be deposited and after that the electoral roll can be collected.
02:41I will just highlight some of the salient features and important statistics worth noting.
02:52After the culmination of the summary revision exercise the gender ratio of the Manipur state
03:01has risen from 1069 to 1070.
03:05It's a very positive development.
03:08Even in past we were doing very well in this aspect and we are only going strength from strength.
03:17The electoral population ratio also is now recorded at 55.37% as compared to 54.84% during
03:25the draft publication of the electoral roll.
03:29So EP ratio is the number of voters vis-a-vis the, the percentage of the voters vis-a-vis
03:34the population.
03:37So there also we have seen a good increase.
03:46The total number of electors now in the state after the final electoral publication of the
03:53final electoral rolls is 20,54,387 and there is a net increase of 19,727 voters after this
04:04exercise.
04:07When I say net increase of 19,727 that means it is as compared to the draft electoral roll
04:19that we had published last year.
04:23And, where is that page, no, no, the first page which we were discussing, okay, yeah.
04:37So then there are other important statistics that have been given in a tabular format and
04:44I am very sure that you have already shared or you will be sharing it with them in the
04:47group as well as you will be handing out the physical copies.
04:52So the total new voters who have been enrolled is 29,468 where
