00:00Welcome to Mojo Plays and today we're taking a look at the strongest pocket
00:10monster in each of Pokemon's nine generations.
00:22Before we begin we publish new videos all week long so be sure to subscribe to
00:27Mojo Plays and ring the bell to be notified about our latest videos.
00:30Dragonite, Pokemon red and blue.
00:41If you're wanting a Pokemon that is an absolute tank, Dragonite is the best
00:46option for you. Heck, Dragonite is the best Pokemon you could possibly have in
00:50your team. For starters, it's two passive abilities, multiscale and inner focus,
00:56reduce damage of the first attack taken, and prevent Dragonite from flinching
01:01ever. On top of that, Dragonite boasts some incredibly high stats, particularly
01:06in attack, special attack, and special defense. Combine all of that with its
01:11only weakness being ice type moves and Dragonite is one adorable dragon that
01:16will intimidate anybody.
01:20Tyranitar, Pokemon gold and silver.
01:31This is one Pokemon that is bound to give players a migraine. Tyranitar can be
01:37an absolute beast on the battlefield due to the high stats it wields, however
01:41those stats are the least of your concerns. Now, what truly makes Tyranitar
01:46a force to be reckoned with, despite being weak to several types, is its
01:51sand stream ability. In addition to granting Tyranitar higher defense, it
01:55also whips up a sand storm, damaging Pokemon at the end of every turn, and it
02:00lasts for the entire fight. Before Gen 4, Tyranitar was the only Pokemon that
02:08would ever receive this move, and it made fights literal torment, making Tyranitar
02:13the most busted Pokemon in gold and silver.
02:21Salamence, Pokemon ruby and sapphire.
02:28Oh, you thought Rayquaza was gonna be on here? Yeah, we thought so too, until we
02:34looked into Salamence. Here's the thing about Salamence, this monster basically
02:39tells your opponent they are not allowed to play the game. They're done. This
02:43Pokemon packs a lot of power and attack and speed, which should already put you
02:48on guard. That's not all though, Salamence comes with the intimidate and moxie
02:52abilities, lowering its opponent's attack while boosting its own after
02:57every Pokemon it knocks out. And given that Dragon type still had very, very few
03:03weaknesses in Gen 3, all of this made Salamence practically broken.
03:15Garchomp, Pokemon diamond and pearl.
03:24Again, you thought a legendary was gonna be on here, like Giratina? No, like
03:29Dragonite, Garchomp can quickly succumb to ice type attacks, assuming your
03:34Pokemon is at an appropriate level. But considering it's a ground type Pokemon,
03:38well, there's no reason for this dude to be as fast as it is. Garchomp boasts the
03:44ability of rough skin, which makes it insanely tough to inflict damage from
03:48moves that require direct contact. What you should really be afraid of is a
03:53Garchomp equipped with sandstorm. Should Garchomp rile up a sandstorm, it's all
03:58over. Garchomp's sand force and sand veil abilities grant it increased attack
04:03power and agility until the storm subsides. Although, you'll most likely be
04:09done for before then.
04:17Excadrill, Pokemon black and white.
04:23Yet another ground type Pokemon makes the list here, and it shows just how
04:29devastating sandstorm can really be. Excadrill is a unique ground type Pokemon
04:34due to how it is totally resistant to poison and electric type attacks, and
04:39renders moves like poison spore and thunder wave totally mute. What's worse
04:44is not Excadrill's sand rush ability, or its sand force ability either. No, it's
04:50Mold Breaker, which acts as a total veto of whatever its opponent's abilities
04:55allow it to ignore. So if Excadrill wants to use earthquake, fissure, or magnitude
05:01on a Pokemon with levitate, that Pokemon is likely going down.
05:10Aegislash, Pokemon X and Y. A living sword being the most overpowered Pokemon?
05:17Yeah, makes sense. Aegislash is the most busted Pokemon of Gen 6, and it takes
05:23just one competitive match to see why. The unique thing about Aegislash is that
05:28depending on the moves it uses, it will switch between one of two forms, both of
05:33which will drastically alter its stats the second it changes forms. In sword
05:38form, Aegislash will boast substantially high attack power. In shield form, the
05:43defense is so high that you'll be lucky to land moderate damage. This Pokemon was
05:48so overpowered that future installments featuring Aegislash dramatically
05:53decreased these buffs. Wishiwashi, Pokemon Sun and Moon.
06:02Alone, Wishiwashi is child's play, no more of a challenge than your run-of-the-mill
06:07Magikarp. However, you'll only fight Wishiwashi in that form if you can even
06:12get through its school form. Upon entering a fight, Wishiwashi automatically
06:17goes into its school form, giving it a substantial increase in power. To make
06:22matters worse, Wishiwashi's school form completely ignores skill swap, role play,
06:27worry seed, simple beam, doodle, gastro acid, core enforcer, neutralizing gas, and
06:33entrainment. All moves that could put Wishiwashi in a compromising position
06:39and lower its attack power, if it was vulnerable to that. If you can sustain
06:43its high offense and get it down to a quarter of its HP, perhaps you can land
06:48the final blow before it can regain health and get back in its school form.
07:01Zacian, Pokemon Sword and Shield.
07:09Funny how out of all of the legendary Pokemon across all nine generations,
07:15Zacian is the only legendary to be considered the strongest of its
07:20generation. The face of Pokemon Sword is a far bigger threat than its Pokemon
07:24Shield counterpart on account of its high stats in speed and attack. Plus,
07:29considering it's a fairy type, your only chance of super effective attacks is to
07:34employ poison type and steel type moves. But here's the real kicker. Gigantamaxing
07:39or Dynamaxing your Pokemon is not going to do anything.
07:43Zacian has an ability called Intrepid Sword, which boosts its attack stat at
07:48the start of the fight. Zacian also has access to a move called Behemoth Blade,
07:53which by itself inflicts double the damage against Giganta or Dynamaxed
07:58Pokemon. Yeah, don't even try it man.
08:05Palafin, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Didn't think we would end with
08:11something like a funny-looking penguin, but here we are. Believe it or not,
08:14Palafin is the most powerful Pokemon in all of Gen 9, despite what its goofy
08:19appearance may imply otherwise. It's almost like calling Wobbuffet the god
08:23Pokemon. The main reason for this though is because of its hero form. While its
08:28zero form holds some decent values in its stats, Palafin in hero form receives
08:34a major boost in attack, defense, and both of the special stats. The only caveat to
08:39properly capitalizing on this form depends on when you switch out Palafin
08:44from battle, so make sure you aren't wasting too much time and energy on the
08:48quick swapping. Have you succumbed to any of these powerful Pokemon? Let us know
08:52down in the comments, and don't forget to subscribe to Mojo Plays for more
08:56great videos every day.
