00:00The most common claim from PhilHealth is low-risk pneumonia.

00:05Back then, PhilHealth's answer is only up to P19,500.

00:09But since January 1, PhilHealth's answer is up to P29,250.

00:15And that's just one of the thousands of cases, including our patients,

00:19who are in the middle of a new round of increasing the value of PhilHealth's answer.

00:23If you can remember, in February of 2024, we increased by 30 percent.

00:29And now, before the end of the year, we increased by another round.

00:34This time, 50 percent for around 9,000 packages starting January 1 admissions.

00:42More than 50 percent added benefits for other more serious diseases,

00:46including kidney transplant and angioplasty for heart attacks.

00:50Our kidney transplant package used to be P600,000.

00:56Now, it will reach P800,000 to P2,000,000 benefits.

01:01For angioplasty, our package is around P30,000.

01:08Now, it will reach P530,000.

01:12This is a big thing for the millions of Filipinos who rely on PhilHealth for medical needs.

01:17This is a good life for Evelyn Valdez, who has been relying on PhilHealth for two years for her dialysis.

01:23A new hope is a cheaper kidney transplant because her savings will go down and she just needs a donor.

01:30I hope I can get a transplant. I won't lose hope. I'm getting stronger inside.

01:36Since this year, PhilHealth also has benefits for outpatients or those who have been admitted to the hospital,

01:41but you don't have to confine them.

01:43Patients who are brought to the emergency room but are not admitted, they don't have any benefits before.

01:51But now, we came out already with an emergency care package that doesn't need to be confined.

01:58We will cover it and we will also pay for it.
