00:00I mean, ever since then, it's been a bit of a slight downfall, obviously he missed England
00:04international duty, which he was quite disappointed about. And then it's sort of been a bit of
00:09a strange one, you know, in terms of the Manchester United situation now, different manager change.
00:16It's not really looking like an amazing situation for him and he's been touted to be going,
00:21you know, rumoured to be going elsewhere. What's the latest you can sort of tell us
00:24on him and how he's, is there a way back to his best at Manchester United? Or do you think
00:29that his race is run?
00:32It's a very interesting one in that regard, because he is obviously an exceptional player
00:36and everyone now knows that he has got that world-class ceiling. He's got 30 goals in
00:40that 10-hard campaign you mentioned, and then there's been a massive drop-off since then,
00:45whether that's down to personal issues off the pitch or whether he's just finding it
00:48difficult to have the new motivation. You know, he admitted himself after his drop from
00:53the Derby win over Man City that he was ready for a new challenge. Ruben Ameriem handled
00:57it rather well by saying, look, we can give him that challenge here at Old Trafford. But
01:01I think it's become abundantly clear in the last few weeks that Marcus Rashford will be
01:05best suited continuing his career elsewhere. 27 now, had two decades at the club, and it
01:11does feel like for both him and United, they just need this fresh start and this clean
01:16break. The issue is how you actually go about orchestrating that in the January window.
01:21United's interest would be for a permanent sale, but there doesn't really seem to be
01:24any club that can match that transfer valuation and the wage demands that he commands. AC
01:30Milan are the team most hotly linked at the moment with a possible low move to the end
01:34of the season. So much can change in the transfer window, though, and I understand these videos
01:38can become very quickly outdated as well. I'd say right now I do still expect him to
01:43leave in January. I expect him more likely to leave than to stay, and you mentioned another
01:49good point there. It's the England situation. He wasn't included in the European Championship
01:53squad. He's been a non-event and someone people don't even talk about in terms of
01:59England recognition right now. And with Thomas Tuchel starting his role as England manager,
02:04Rashford needs to get back into the England squad as quickly as he can. He's 27 now. You'd
02:08expect he's got the next World Cup in his sights, and then beyond that, he might be
02:13getting to the stage where it'd be about international retirement anyway. But yeah, for Marcus Rashford,
02:18a solution needs to be found. Ruben Amirim doesn't have a clear role for him in his United
02:22squad, and it feels like it'd be best for all parties if he were to leave this month.
