00:00To go to 6,000 cattle yarded here today,
00:03grain steers, beautiful runner weaner steers,
00:06grain heifers and heifers.
00:08We started off with some very heavy steers
00:10right at the front that were over 500 kilos.
00:12I think they were 537 kilos,
00:13made just to go to $4.
00:16Once you come back into that proper feeder weight,
00:18they were making around that 420.
00:20When we got back into the weaners, the heavy weaners,
00:22the 400 plus kilo weaners,
00:24they were similar sort of money, $4 to $4.20.
00:26Once you come off in the weight,
00:28they kicked right up there to $4.50.
00:30And then as the weight come back,
00:31the lighter weaners, you know,
00:32your 240, your 50 kilo calves are making well over $5.
00:36That was super strong in the steer market.
00:39The really good runner heifers,
00:41the feeder style heifers up to sort of $3.80 or $3.90.
00:44A lot of heifers sort of making anywhere between
00:46sort of $3.50 and up to $3.80.
00:48It was an extremely strong market.
00:50A really nice yarding of cattle,
00:52which it always is here in our January weaner sales.
00:54And very positive on probably where we were
00:58at the end of last year with some of the weaner sales.
01:00It was a, yeah, it was nice to see
01:02with a lot of Northern support
01:04with the rain that they've had up there
01:06and into the New England
01:07and a few locals working in the market.
