00:00The labor force of the country even increased after the number of Filipinos who have no job decreased this November.

00:08And the number of those who need to double their salary to earn money also decreased.

00:18Angelic, the number of Filipinos who had a job increased by more than 1 million in November 2024.

00:29This is based on the latest labor force survey of the Philippine Statistic Authority or PSA.

00:35It also came out in the survey, Angelic, that the number of Filipinos who are working increased in the classification of wages and salary workers.

00:46The latest labor force survey of the PSA was released this morning.

00:51Based on the result of the survey, based on the month-on-month data,

00:5651.20 million Filipinos had a job or business in November 2024.

01:03It increased by 1.08 million compared to October 2024 which was at 50.12 million.

01:14It also came out in the survey that the industries of transportation, storage, manufacturing, other service activities, accommodations and food services,

01:25wholesale and retail, repair of motorcycle and motorcycle vehicle,

01:32were the most added to the labor force that reached more than 7,466,000 employees.

01:44Based on the survey, the number of Filipinos who had a job increased in the wage and salary workers class.

01:5231.63 million Filipinos were under the said job classification in November 2024,

02:00while only 30.73 million in October 2024.

02:06According to the PSA, the wage and salary worker class is a good quality job for the workers because the salary is regular and minimum and there are benefits.

02:20We can see that we have subsectors in our industry where the number of employed persons is increasing.

02:31Usually, last quarter, there were increases in accommodation services, restaurants, and of course, the key inputs like food products.

02:44According to the PSA, the survey was conducted from November 8 to November 28, 2024.

02:53More than 31,000 Filipinos over the age of 15 were included in the survey.

03:00Did you know that the unemployment rate of more than 300,000 Filipinos is below the underemployment rate?

03:13The underemployment rate of more than 700,000 Filipinos is also below the underemployment rate.
