Being on set can be a joyous time for an actor. For some, they're just living the dream and are grateful that they get to do what they love. Yet, being a working actor can mean a lot of hard work, long hours, and tough relationships with other actors. If you have to do even your favorite job with someone you hate, it can quickly turn into torture.

00:00Tinseltown can be tough enough to navigate without off-screen animosity getting in the
00:04way, and for some co-stars, the heat of the hatred becomes simply too much to bear.
00:09Whether it's a television program where the actors have to work together for years on
00:12end, a movie where they're isolated for months on set, or even a stage show where everyone
00:16goes home afterwards, things can get bad fast.
00:19Sometimes even Hollywood's most elite actors couldn't pretend to get along with their colleagues
00:23behind the scenes, and helped give them the boot.
00:26Here are some actors who use their celebrity clout to kick their rivals out.
00:30Kevin James
00:31After working with Leah Remini for nearly a decade on The King of Queens, Kevin James
00:35established quite a kinship with his on-screen wife from the show, so it was hardly a surprise
00:39that he'd invite her to guest star on his new program, Kevin Can Wait.
00:42"...my life forever.
00:43I can't get rid of her."
00:44But what did come as a surprise was what that meant for his newest on-screen leading lady,
00:48Erin Hayes.
00:49The two had shared the screen for the show's inaugural season, but Hayes was unceremoniously
00:53kicked off the show before its second season because, according to sources, he had a better
00:57chemistry with Remini.
00:58For her part, Hayes didn't betray much in the way of gory details when she confirmed
01:02the news on Twitter, writing,
01:03"'True.
01:04I've been let go from the show.
01:05Very sad.
01:06I had a great experience season one.
01:07Thank you for all the support from our wonderful fans."
01:09But it certainly has to sting that the reason for her departure was clearly her co-star's
01:13interest in working with someone else instead of her.
01:16Ouch.
01:17"'Alright, you know what?
01:18You won this, my little Care Bear.
01:20Hope you won this one.'"
01:22Will Smith
01:23Although he's since made a name for himself in movies, Will Smith's original breakthrough
01:26role was undoubtedly his turn as the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air in the hit 90s sitcom.
01:31But while the series would last for six seasons, and follow the Banks family nephew through
01:34the many ups and downs of teenage-dom, there was one castmate who didn't last the length
01:38of the program, Janet Hubert.
01:40And the actress has been more than willing to spill the tea as to why she was shown the
01:43door and replaced with another Aunt Viv actress, Daphne Maxwell-Reed, after the show's third
01:47season.
01:48"'You know, Miss Banks, since you had that baby, there's something different about you."
01:56In 2013, Hubert told Yahoo,
01:58"'Smith said, we're just gonna replace her and act like nothing happened.
02:01Well, honey, that is not what happened, is it?
02:03The world has let me know that my place on that show was very, very loved.
02:06I felt demonized and beaten up and crucified for many, many years.
02:10No one came forward in my defense."
02:12To be fair to Smith, he wasn't the only one who made a play for her firing.
02:15Alfonso Ribeiro
02:16Alfonso Ribeiro, once admitted in a comedic stand-up set,
02:18"'Long story short, there were days when we were all on the set and she would literally
02:21go off on people.'
02:22Still, old feuds die hard."
02:24Hubert has continued to lash out at her former co-stars as a result of the tiff that cost
02:28her the job so many years back.
02:30"'I spoke out against the injustices of what they did to me.
02:34And so, yes, I've had a rough time.'"
02:37Tori Spelling
02:39Although the TV world has certainly changed its tune on Shannen Doherty as a result of
02:43her brave public battle with breast cancer, the actress has made more than her fair share
02:46of enemies around Hollywood over the years as well.
02:49One such enemy is Tori Spelling, daughter of the legendary 90s television executive
02:53Aaron Spelling, who had her fired from the set of Beverly Hills 90210 after one particularly
02:57brutal day of in-feuding between Doherty and co-star Jenny Garth.
03:01Spelling later admitted she was the one responsible for having Doherty fired after its fourth
03:05season by saying,
03:06"'I remember I could hear the door fly open and everyone screaming and crying.
03:09That's when I was told the boys just had to break up Jenny, Garth, and Shannen.
03:12It was like a fistfight.'"
03:13She then turned to her powerful dad to put an end to the madness after the cast unanimously
03:17prompted her to do so.
03:18"'And I told them, I said, I feel really bad doing this.
03:21She's my friend.
03:22I feel like I should be doing this.'"
03:24Even so, Spelling said she felt that her decision to have Doherty canned from the show was the
03:27right one.
03:28She did get a chance to reprise her role as Brenda Walsh in the 90210 reboot, but it wasn't
03:32the last time one of Doherty's co-stars got her axed from a hit series either.
03:37Alyssa Milano
03:38The official line regarding Shannen Doherty's early exit from Charmed, which ran for five
03:42more seasons after the actress was written out, was that the WB encouraged her to pursue
03:47other interests outside of the witchy series.
03:49"'It's time for me personally, and I thought it was time for the show, because a show like
03:53that needs to stay fresh.'"
03:56But it's one of the worst-kept secrets in Hollywood that her behind-the-scenes drama
03:59with co-star Alyssa Milano played a major part in the network's decision to let her
04:02go.
04:03"'I was not a troublemaker.
04:04I was just a pain.'"
04:06Doherty herself told Entertainment Tonight,
04:08"'There was too much drama on the set, and not enough passion for the work.
04:12You know, I'm 30 years old, and I don't have time for drama in my life anymore.'"
04:16Milano has since played coy about the reasons behind Doherty's departure.
04:19"'I don't know if she got fired.
04:21We never really found out what happened.'"
04:23But where there's smoke, there's usually fire.
04:27Charlie Sheen
04:28As the embattled star of Two and a Half Men, Charlie Sheen got to learn a thing or two
04:32about how easily a big name can have a disfavored actor ousted from a major series.
04:36His extremely public feud with show creator Chuck Lorre ended with Sheen being killed
04:40off the program after its eighth season, and Sheen would eventually torpedo that power
04:44into his next big series, Anger Management, to get his co-star Selma Blair kicked off.
04:48Sheen reportedly texted Blair to tell her that she would be dropped from the show after
04:51the two experienced some on-set discord.
04:54Sheen would later point to creative reasons for her exit, telling The Hollywood Reporter,
04:57"'Her character was written out because it was not about our relationship, and the problem
05:00was too many people were still excited about the two-and-a-half character and thought the
05:04Anger Management character was a little dull.'"
05:06But according to TMZ, Sheen had demanded that the actress be terminated or he would walk,
05:11after she allegedly complained to producers about his notorious off-screen antics.
05:15Alec Baldwin
05:17Although Alec Baldwin is not without his own history of personal controversies, he's still
05:21managed to maintain the upper hand over many of his co-stars over the years.
05:24So when he and his would-be stage partner Shia LaBeouf couldn't see eye-to-eye during
05:28preparations for the debut of the play Orphans, producers decided to give LaBeouf the boot
05:32rather than letting their marquee star walk away from it.
05:35"'Alec went to the producers and said, I can't take it another day, fire him.'"
05:38"'I think that might have been what happened.'"
05:40As Baldwin would admit to Vulture,
05:42"'There was friction between us from the beginning, and one day he attacked me in front of everyone.
05:46I took the stage manager to another room and I said, one of us is going to go.
05:50I said, I'll tell you what, I'll go.
05:51I said, don't fire the kid, I'll quit.
05:53They said, no, no, no, no, and they fired him.'"
05:56For what it's worth, LaBeouf would keep a surprisingly pleasant attitude towards the
05:59production after the fact.
06:00"'No, no, no, they got the show they need.
06:02They got the show they need.'"
06:03"'They got another guy in there.
06:04Who'd they run in?'
06:05"'A great actor, actually.
06:06They didn't run in nobody.
06:07He's a great actor.
06:08His name's Ben Foster.
06:09He's terrific.'"
06:10Sylvester Stallone
06:12Although The Lords of Flatbush would not end up being one of Sylvester Stallone's most
06:15memorable movies, it did have an indelible impact on the history of Hollywood and his
06:19relationship with another icon of the same generation.
06:22The action star was originally supposed to share the screen with Richard Gere for the
06:25film, but admitted that he pulled some strings to have him replaced.
06:28He told Ain't It Cool News,
06:29"'We never hit it off.'
06:31He would strut around in his oversized motorcycle jacket like he was the baddest knight at the
06:34round table.
06:35One day, during an improv, he grabbed me — we were simulating a fight scene — and got a
06:39little carried away.
06:40I told him in a gentle fashion to lighten up, but he was completely in character and
06:43impossible to deal with.
06:45Things only got worse from there."
06:46Stallone revealed that during rehearsals, Richard Gere ate a mustard-covered sandwich
06:50in a car with him and spilled some of the condiment on his lap, which was a big no-no
06:53for the action star.
06:54"'Then we're rehearsing at Coney Island and it was lunchtime.
06:57So we decided to take a break and the only place that was warm was in the backseat of
07:01a Toyota.
07:02I was eating a hot dog and he climbs in with a half a chicken covered in mustard with grease
07:05nearly dripping out of the aluminum wrapper.
07:07I said, if it gets on my pants, you're gonna know about it.
07:10He proceeds to bite into the chicken and a small, greasy river of mustard lands on my
07:13thigh.
07:14I elbowed him in the side of the head and basically pushed him out of the car.
07:17The director had to make a choice.
07:19One of us had to go.
07:20One of us had to stay.
07:21Richard was given his walking papers and to this day seriously dislikes me."
07:24"'It's a real mustard-tastrophe.'"
