00:10governor in California has declared a state of emergency and I'm assuming that
00:14means extra resources will be earmarked for California I mean do you have enough
00:22resources do you have what's necessary and can other fire departments in other
00:26states help you out so we have a state fire service agency called Cal fire and
00:34they manage bringing resources from outside of our region into a fire like
00:39this so we have our first line of defense is our you know our department
00:43we have a robust department 3,500 sworn members we had we had augmented
00:49resources we had 14 extra fire engines that were staffed and placed in these
00:53high-risk areas so we could provide an immediate response we also have what's
00:59called mutual aid which is where our neighboring agencies like LA County
01:03Santa Monica Beverly Hills when we have an immediate need we respond in and
01:08assist just like we go to help them so we also had them in place and then it
01:14will be followed up by additional resources provided by Cal fire so we
01:18have the resources that's not the challenge right now the challenge is the
01:22weather
