01:08I have seen the Indian media reports about the bail given to four Indians
01:16accused by RCMP of having collaborated in the killing of Nija. The bail has
01:27been given by the British Columbia Supreme Court to which the RCMP had got
01:35the case transferred to have a speedier trial. The bottom line is that
01:49on the 11th of February the British Columbia Supreme Court will hear the
01:55case. The question now is whether the giving of bail to these four is a big
02:04setback for the Canadian government but it is difficult to say. In case it is
02:13true that it is the advocates on behalf of the accused who sought the bail and
02:21to that extent it is a victory for them but basically we have to understand that
02:29the case will be tried in the Supreme Court of British Columbia and that the
02:39RCMP's effort to accelerate the proceedings is succeeding. Incidentally
02:49these four were accused and taken into custody in May last year and it is
03:02rather surprising that RCMP should have taken so much time to complete
03:12the investigations
