00:00Uh, I just want to get your reaction first to this kid Warren.
00:04I know they didn't win the game, but when I was watching him play, you know, in the
00:09games with SMU, the games with Boise, I mean, this guy, he's got, he's got a future at the
00:16next level, the way this guy plays and how big he is sturdy.
00:20He's involved in so many different aspects of their offense plays.
00:24He can do it all.
00:25He can run the ball.
00:26He can catch the ball.
00:28He's dependable in a fourth down and one, you can draw him a slant and he gets the yard
00:33because he's such a monster.
00:34What did you think of watching that guy turn into a superstar?
00:37Well, it's kind of like was a Bowers for Georgia last year.
00:40He's a difference maker.
00:42You know what?
00:43When you've got a great tight end, your office can be balanced.
00:45He can block, but more likely he can catch it.
00:48He can run with it.
00:49Uh, when you great, great, great quarter, a great tight end is going to be a short yardage
00:53or a guy closer to the quarterback.
00:55It's going to be your opposite throws.
00:57And when you get a great one like that, you can hit him on the deep flag.
01:00Just, just, I see it coming back.
01:03Now the teams that know how to utilize that, Ted, and of course, Penn State, you remember
01:06Ted Qualic, you that old, that's way back, but the tight end has, has always been pretty
01:12important.
01:13Warren's a special player and he'll be a special player in the next level.
01:17What did you think of a Bowers going to the NFL and being an all pro in his first year?
01:23Well, it's kind of like Warren when you, when you watch him in college and they, they just
01:28are so much better than everybody else.
01:30You know, they just, this guy's going to be something special.
01:33Bowers, I didn't realize he was going to make that much of an impact so fast, but with the
01:37way Warren plays, he's at least as athletic or more athletic.
01:41And so you got to think that he has a great future after college.
01:45So I'm sitting here watching this game last night and Riley Leonard goes down and the
01:49kid Angeli comes in and he played up here in North Jersey at Bergen Catholic.
01:55And I had seen him play high school football.
01:57I've seen him play Bosco.
01:59I've seen him play St. Joe's.
02:01I've seen him in big Thanksgiving games.
02:04And there he was coming into that game and knocking six of seven with immediacy and getting
02:10them into field goal position to get that three before the half.
02:13What a difference that kid meant to that win last night.
02:17It wasn't all about Freeman.
02:19It wasn't all about Leonard.
02:21It wasn't all about this.
02:23That kid had a couple of paragraphs in the story.
02:26He deserved them.
02:27Well, you know, and think about it now motive.
02:29I mean that the, uh, all the momentum was on the other team.
02:33They were down 10 to nothing, uh, and they didn't look very good.
02:36Notre Dame, Penn state was, had everything going for him.
02:39He comes in great drive, leads them to a field goal to get out of that dead gum, uh, zero.
02:45They come back the next half, come with a score.
02:48All of a sudden it's 10 to 10, 17 to 10.
02:50Now I know the other quarterback Raleigh got back in the game and did a great job of finishing,
02:55but they couldn't have done it without that backup quarterback and how he kept them in
02:58the game and even moving toward a victory.
