00:0034 to 23, the victory for the Buckeyes. Couple of highlights for you here, Scotty.
00:06Quinton Junkins had not one, not two, but three tutties last night, so I've got one
00:11of those for you, and of course, Jeremiah Smith icing the game on Buckeyes radio.
00:17Matilda, bursting goal from the Notre Dame on Junkins the give, going left side
00:21off one defender, Junkins to the five, Junkins to the goal line, and into the end zone for a
00:25touchdown, Quinton Junkins bouncing off of defenders. Nine-yard TD run, Quinton Junkins.
00:34Defense shifts again. Howard out of the shotgun, back to pass at his own 25. He'll gun that deep
00:39down the right side, and it is caught by Jeremiah Smith at the 30 of Notre Dame. He's taken to the
00:43Fighting Irish 10-yard line by cornerback Christian Gray. Howard to Smith. I mean,
00:50that was all she wrote. I got to be honest, like, I don't even know who Junkins is.
00:55So, they're so deep. They're so talented and so layered. This guy has three touchdowns in the
01:03game. I'd never heard of him. The other receivers, Tate, whatever, like, I've never heard of him,
01:08and they were throwing a ball at all these guys I've never heard of that are super,
01:12you know, talented guys that don't get to play as much and get the juice that Smith and Abu could
01:18get, or their starting running back. I mean, this guy, Junkins, had you ever heard of him?
01:23Honestly, he was with Lane Kiffin at Ole Miss the last couple years and transferred to Ohio State
01:29this year. Probably got himself a fat bag and kind of split time with Travion Henderson, but
01:35he had all the gas last night with those three touchdowns. Let's go to Ryan Day next, of course,
01:43Scotty. Of course, Day, after the loss to Michigan, there was a lot of heat on him.
01:49Well, very proud of his team after everything that went on. Let's hear from Ryan Day.
01:56These guys, you know, learned a bunch of life lessons, but they're going to go down in Ohio
02:00State history as some of, you know, one of the greatest teams to ever play at Ohio State. After
02:04all the things that have been said throughout the year, these guys are going to be cemented
02:09as one of the best stories in Ohio State history and one of the best football teams ever. Only nine
02:14teams have ever done it, and three in over 50 years. These guys right here. And there was a
02:19point where not a lot of people had that vision, but these guys did, and they saw it through. And
02:26Ohio State may not be for everybody, but it's for these guys, and I'm really proud of them.
02:30Well, I think that, listen, I think he gets the last laugh. That's just all there is to it. It's
02:35tough pill to swallow for us. I'm not a fan. I don't like him. I don't like them. I never have.
02:41I never will. It only gets worse, especially after the losses to, you know, the Canes losses to them.
02:51They sicken me, but I respect the fact that he gets the last laugh because everybody hates the guy.
03:00And I mean, everybody hates him and he wins. So, you know, it's a lot like John McEnroe.
03:06People hated him. They hated his guts. And when he would win, Wimbledon or otherwise,
03:13I used to just get the last laugh because I was a huge John McEnroe fan and everyone
03:19couldn't stand him because of his outbursts and his temper and his shenanigans. But then he would
03:26win and he would get the last laugh. I feel the same way about Ryan Day, like the whole Michigan
03:33bit about him losing every time he faces Michigan. It doesn't matter if you lose to Michigan,
03:39if you win the national championship. What is a game against Michigan up against the Natty?
03:45It's not even discussed enough like this doesn't even matter that game against Michigan. It's all
03:52in your heads because their rivalry is so deep between the schools. It's so intense that they
03:57actually think it's more important than winning a national championship. You must be stupid.
04:02They just won the national championship. They will go down in history and no one will remember
04:08the 13-10 loss to Michigan 10 years from now. I guarantee it.
