00:00As we promised, the whole year is about New Year resolution and on this occasion we're
00:05going to talk about New Year resolution in order to enhance your fertility and what sort
00:10of diet will be good for you.
00:12So let's talk about male infertility.
00:20Male infertility usually is defined by low sperm quality and that is usually looked at
00:27the parameters of the sperm number, if you have sperm number of less than 15 million
00:33per mils and 40% of them or less are active and 4% of them actually have normal morphology
00:41of head, neck and tail, then you probably will have problems of infertility.
00:47So in order to enhance the sperm quality, there are several measures one can be taken
00:52and that includes, number one, food.
00:56What sort of food will be good for your sperm count?
00:59Actually it doesn't take a genius to work out, it's mainly fruit and vegetable and fish.
01:06Fruit contains a lot of antioxidants and these include food that contains high in vitamin
01:12C and vitamin D and if you are taking oranges, citrus, nuts and beans, these are particularly
01:18good for the sperm quality.
01:21And other food that will be good is fatty fish.
01:25Fatty fish contains omega-3 and all these are known to have tremendous enhancement in
01:32sperm quality, especially the number and also the morphology.
01:37In addition to that, other things that you need to take into account will be something
01:42like food that contains high folic acid and all these are also believed in order to enhance
01:48spermatogenesis.
01:51And lastly, one really need to consider about dairy product because in the past, there's
01:56a lot of worries about dairy product might actually be counterproductive in the production
02:02of sperms and eggs, however, recent science shows that dairy product is actually very
02:10good in enhancing the sperm productions and also egg productions.
02:16So in addition to food, obviously there are other things.
02:20Number two is hydration.
02:22Drinking plenty of water in a range of 2 to 2.5 litres is very good for circulation.
02:28In addition to that, number three, lots of exercise.
02:32When you exercise, obviously get the circulation going and that will be very good for the sperm
02:37quality.
02:38Number four and number five, actually cut down on alcohol and also on cigarette smoking
02:46because tobacco and cigarette smoking and alcohol will have a toxic impact on spermatogenesis
02:52and actually will not do you a favour in enhancing your fertility if you are planning for a child.

03:03of sexual health and that is on your libido.
