00:00I think it can be it can be good if it's an empty space and it's a big student
00:05population and if it gives people work that's great. I think the downside can be
00:11that you end up with more of that kind of thing and less that is individual to
00:17an area. I think as a student it's quite quite a good thing it's I feel like
00:21obviously we've lost KFC as well so that's not great but yeah cheap food
00:25closer I suppose cons of it are the takeaway closer where I could spend more
00:29money put on a bit of weight which isn't great but yeah. I did live in
00:32Headingley many many years ago so I remember things like the green grocers
00:37and the wool shop and all of that kind of thing and I think that it there is
00:40always a danger that you lose that individual identity and that does stop
00:45people's moving into places as well. I think having a McDonald's they'll be
00:49great because well firstly with so many bars along here we're pretty ideal for
00:53obviously jump people love like a good little bit of food after and McDonald's
00:56tend to be 24-7 so it'd be pretty ideal after people sort of nights out and
01:02things like that. I'm glad it's not gonna be a pub because I did hear that that
01:05one got turned down which I think a lot of people are really grateful for a
01:09McDonald's if if they keep the place tidy it'll probably be okay. I wouldn't mind
01:15it being an M or something like that just like a nice cheap store where you can pick up
01:18bits and bobs I suppose I feel like Sainsbury's is the only shop properly
01:21closed just somewhere you could pick up maybe food for cheap or just an
01:24alternative to Sainsbury's I guess. I personally prefer to help out like a
01:27local smaller chain than go for like a big large corporation like McDonald's
01:31but as I say I could see the demand for it with the kind of people that live
01:36around here. It was the range that took over Wilko's I was kind of surprised
01:39that they didn't take on that unit because it's been there forever we used
01:44to have a Woolies many many many many years ago as well I think having
01:47somewhere where that's got all the basic necessities doesn't just benefit the
01:51students it benefits the local community as well so I think that kind
01:55of you know everything that you can get kind of shop would would be a good idea.
