00:24Comelec rejected our automated elections in May despite the release of the temporary restraining order of the Supreme Court

00:33for the five aspirants whose names were not included in the ballot printed by Comelec.

00:40Connie, Comelec also admitted that the decision of the Supreme Court was heavy for them

00:46because Comelec was printing ballots on January 6.

00:51Last night, Comelec immediately stopped it after the TRO was released from the Supreme Court.

00:58Six million ballots were printed and this is for the national position or the ballot for the senator.

01:06In Comelec's estimate, this is worth Php 150 million including the salary of the person and other expenses related to this.

01:14Comelec also clarified that the ballot is not being printed for the local positions like congressman, governor and others.

01:22One of the five TRO members was Zubair Gintum Mustafa.

01:27He is a senatorial aspirant and that's why his name should be included in the list of votes for the senator.

01:36According to Comelec, despite preparing for the possible release of the TRO by the Supreme Court,

01:41they did not expect that the name of the senatorial candidates will be added because they already printed it well.

01:48However, they will still follow the Supreme Court.

01:51However, they need to change the election management system or EMS and make it the database of the candidates.

01:59This also means that if Mustafa's name is removed from the alphabetical arrangement of the name in the ballot,

02:11Comelec stopped the printing of the ballot last night.

02:14They hope that the printing will continue on Monday or Tuesday.

02:20Just now, Comelec said, there are a few more cases of filing in the Supreme Court that were suspended.
