01:04My name is Fazil Ben Ali and my partner is Arif Sulaiman.
01:09We are from Malaysia.
01:11Okay, so how long have you been flying kite?
01:14This is my 22nd year, 22 years playing kites.
01:21First time in Hyderabad?
01:22Yes, this is my first time in Hyderabad.
01:25Normally I'm going to Ahmedabad every year during Pongal or Makkah Sankranti, I'm going there.
01:32But this year, this is the first time I go here.
01:35How's the climate, how's the wind, sir, for the kites?
01:38Perfect, it's good, but sometimes the wind is shaking left and right.
01:44That's our problem.
01:47To play kite, you must have strong wind and consistently.
01:54So you like it in Hyderabad?
01:55Definitely.
01:57Hyderabad is a very peaceful place and the population here is very nice.
02:06And the food is also very good.
02:08Here we can have chicken biryani and some vegetarian food.
02:16You have a pretty big kite over there, so is it hard to fly such big kites?
02:21If there is a wind, no problem at all.
02:24But when the wind is shaking left and right, that is our problem.
02:30We can produce more kites if the wind is perfect.
02:35At least 9 knots or 10 knots, perfect.
02:40But when the wind is sometimes low, sometimes have, sometimes don't have wind, so it's a problem for us.
02:49So are you planning to come next year also?
02:51Definitely, if the organiser invites me.
02:55My priority here, maybe here, during Pongal.
03:01Right, sir. Thank you so much.
03:04Yes, sir. Your good name, sir?
03:06Hi, I'm from Port Colborne, Ontario. It's near Niagara Falls and that's in Canada.
03:11So, your first time in Hyderabad?
03:13No, this is my second time. I was here last year and I'm enjoying this year just as much.
03:17So how long have you been flying kites, sir?
03:19I've been flying kites probably longer than you've been on the earth.
03:22Probably a good 35 years and I started when my kids were small.
03:26Give you an idea how old my kids are now.
03:29And they're kind of out of kites and we just kept going at it.
03:32So how is the climate, sir, this time in Hyderabad?
03:35It's very nice. I think it's about 25 right now and it's not humid.
03:39And back home it's minus 10 and very snowy.
03:42So can you share some experiences about one incident that you remember related to flying kites?
03:49Related to flying kites?
03:50Very memorable.
03:51Oh, I always have fun with kites everywhere.
03:53I put the odd kite in a tree and that was kind of fun.
03:56When you're at a festival and you put a kite in a tree, then everybody thinks,
03:58Is that part of the show? Watch my line, boy.
04:01So right now I'm going to fly a four-line kite.
04:04I put shorter lines on it because the field's a bit limited.
04:06And this kite will fly every which way.
04:09It's not like a single-line kite where it'll just fly up.
04:11This way I can fly it up and down, backwards and forwards, and land it.
04:15So are you planning to come next year also, sir, to Hyderabad?
04:17Well, it all depends if they invite me, but I think we put on a good show.
04:20I do bubbles here too and I have a lot of fun.
04:22I look for a spot where there's a lot of crowd and the wind is blowing away from the kites.
04:26I think generally the people really enjoy it.
04:29Thank you, sir.
04:56There are other specialties. We made them just for Hyderabad.
04:59We have eyeballs.
