00:15Residents of Barangay 458 in Sampaloc, Manila were burned to the ground

00:22Firefighters had a hard time extinguishing the fire that was raised to the fourth alarm.
00:31It was lighted here in Barangay 458, Sampaloc, Manila
00:36earlier this morning at 5 o'clock in the morning
00:38when the fire broke out in a residential area in Sulucan Street.
00:41The first alarm was immediately declared earlier at 5.08.
00:44It was raised to the second and third alarm and reached the fourth alarm at 5.31 earlier.
00:49This means that not less than 16 firetrucks will have to respond
00:54in order for the fire to be completely extinguished.
00:56According to the barangay, at least 300 houses were affected by the fire.
00:59And 500 families were affected.
01:02Residents were disposed of their belongings one by one.
01:05Some of them were left with nothing but themselves and their loved ones.
01:13At the back of the house, we woke up because the fire was about to break in.
01:18When we checked the window, it was already behind our house.
01:22That's why we were not able to save anything.
01:24That's why I had my children brought down.
01:27We were able to save a lot because I am a single mother.
01:31We really don't have anything.
01:33To be honest, all of the houses here are made of light material.
01:36So, the fire really broke out quickly.
01:39The fire started from the candle.
01:42A child came out and we also saw that their house was already on fire.
01:51They were not able to speak.
01:54When we checked our windows, the fire was already big.

02:20When the fire broke out, the third floor completely collapsed.
02:26According to the BFP, there are about 15 BFP firetrucks responding
02:38and more than 50 fire volunteers, firetrucks and ambulances.
