00:00Being down seven points from a betting standpoint in a playoff game is a huge number.
00:10Sometimes people take that different ways, but first I'll say Coach McVay had the guys
00:15ready to play.
00:16They seemed like they were really focused on the job at hand Monday night, came out
00:21with a lot of energy offensively, defensively, and had a great game plan offensively, I felt
00:27like.
00:28Going up against Philadelphia, it's a totally different animal.
00:32When you play in the playoffs, it's a different animal as well.
00:36The biggest thing is that for the Rams to be successful in this game, you've got to
00:40do what a playoff team does, and that's take away the most important thing, the number
00:46one option that the team, that their opponent does.
00:49To me, that's running the football in Philadelphia right now.
00:52They had Saquon Barkley, who's had a tremendous football career and season this year, 2,000
00:58yards rushing, and that's what they like to do.
01:00I think that's really the catalyst of everything they do offensively.
01:04So if we can go in and really find a way to put the game into the hands of Jalen Hurts
01:09and let him throw it around the field, maybe 40 passes, that should be our goal for him
01:14to throw.
01:15I think we'll have a big time opportunity to win this game.
01:19Isaac, I think a lot of people have looked at the Commanders and going into Detroit to
01:25face the Lions.
01:26A lot of people have said, OK, that seems like an unwinnable game for the Commanders.
01:31Do you believe that the Rams, again, as long as they can limit Saquon and how many yards
01:38he ultimately rushes for, do you believe that this is a really, an actual winnable game
01:42for the Rams?
01:43Or are you surprised if on Sunday night the Rams are in the NFC Championship game?
01:48Well, to be honest, I won't be surprised.
01:50I mean, when you look at these playoffs teams, and the Rams were one of them, they were one
01:54of the teams that were ascending towards the end of the season.
01:58And they have the momentum rolling right now.
02:00They're very confident.
02:01The young guys on defense are really flying around.
02:05You know what, man?
02:06And you can almost say that, you know, when we played Philadelphia in the regular season,
02:09we were somewhat embarrassed.
02:12So when you embarrass a professional, the next time they get an opportunity or we get
02:17an opportunity to face that team again, I think you see a different attitude and a different
02:22result.
02:23Now, do they really have a chance to go and win this game?
02:25It's the playoffs.
02:26And I've been a part of divisional games where I was favored to win, but playing at home
02:30in the comforts of home and ended up losing.
02:32So I think it is possible.
02:34I think it's not only possible for the Los Angeles Rams to go on the road and win, but
02:39also the Commanders to go on the road and win a big game as well.
02:42Isaac, you're somebody who obviously in St. Louis won a Super Bowl with the Rams.
02:46How helpful is it?
02:48And not everybody that won, you know, or not everybody on this team was a part of the Rams
02:53Super Bowl winning team a couple of years back.
02:55But how beneficial, if at all, is it that Coach McVay has been here before and some
02:59of these players have been there before, have gone through the gauntlet of the NFL playoffs
03:03and have seen this thing through and won a Super Bowl?
03:06Well, from a leadership standpoint, I mean, that's where it begins.
03:09I mean, you have the same, the very same mindset that was at the leadership position
03:13when we won the last Super Bowl.
03:15So when you come into the facility like the Los Angeles Rams, it's about winning.
03:21At some point, you know, you're going to pass by, you're going to visit one of those Lombardi
03:24trophies and your juices are going to start to flow and your dreams are going to start
03:29to get ignited and you're going to want to bring in another trophy.
03:33So this is the opportunity.
03:34I mean, there's no thinking about next year or when I become a more mature player for
03:38these younger guys on the defensive side or the football.
03:42It's right now.
03:43It's about this weekend.
03:44It's about this Sunday and in the Lynx Stadium, playing the Philadelphia Eagles to get to
03:49the next round.
03:50It's about thriving.
03:51It's about getting to the next round.
03:53That's what it's about.
03:54I'm sure Coach McVay is preaching that.
03:55Isaac, what's it like for you personally to watch?
03:59Because this is a unique situation.
04:00I mean, this is your franchise, you're one of the best players who have ever put on a
04:04Rams uniform.
04:05Obviously, it's a little bit different because not in St. Louis anymore now out here in Los
04:10Angeles.
04:11Do you still feel connected to the franchise and are those your guys like when you're watching
04:15on Sunday?
04:16Is this your team?
04:17Oh, absolutely.
04:18You can, you can never change the emblem on the side of the helmet.
04:22The Los Angeles Rams were the very first franchise.
04:25They have an emblem on the side of the helmet.
04:27I was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in 1994.
04:29I played when you're out there before moving to St. Louis.
04:33But yeah, I'm totally deep, deep rooted into it.
04:36I mean, when I see this process happening, as far as this playoff run, I get super excited
04:40because I know if some kind of way, if we manage to have another home playoff game or
04:45end up in the Super Bowl, they always invite Isaac Bruce out and it's all one big rambly.
