00:00The Asia-International Security Summit and Expo 2025, we call it ACE25.
00:12I would like to say that this is not just an event.
00:19But this is a strategic initiative
00:26that supports the goal of making Malaysia a center for security innovation, cooperation and leadership.
00:38The event will be held here at BICC starting tomorrow, 20th to 22nd January.
00:50The Ministry of Home Affairs has agreed to raise the Asia-United theme,
01:01charting the future of global peace and security through law enforcement collaboration.
01:10The theme itself has fulfilled our aspiration for cooperation and development.
01:21ACE25 aims to showcase up to 300 companies from 48 countries.
01:37The event will also include up to 109 local companies and 212 international companies
01:48that will showcase the latest technology in the security segment.
01:56We expect an audience of up to 5,000.
02:01We have 1,000 seminar participants.
02:08ACE25 will be a strategic platform that brings together various sectors
02:15from cyber security, public security and smart monitoring technology.
02:23The event will also host 60 international delegations and 500 local representatives,
02:30including ASEAN representatives and global leaders.
02:35What is the substantive component of the event?
02:45The event will be a showcase of the latest technology.
02:50The event will be attended by at least 36 workshops on security.
03:00I would like to share another success story with the media.
03:04The Global Peace Index 2024 ranked Malaysia on the 10th position.
03:11As for ASEAN, we are behind Singapore.
03:14As for Asia Pacific, I think we are behind New Zealand.
03:19The Global Peace Index itself shows that we are moving to the right tracks.
03:28The year before, we were in the position of 19th.
03:33Then we improved to 10th.
03:36The purpose of ACE25 is to provide fresh ideas
03:47on how we can improve our living conditions.
03:52According to investors, the Global Peace Index is one of their tools
03:59if they want to make a decision to come here.
04:05The Global Peace Index also supports the SDG,
04:15which focuses on security, justice, and strengthening institutions.
04:21The SDG will not only be a showcase,
04:30but also a catalyst for strategic coordination between governments and industries.
04:38We will focus on security, such as cyber security,
04:44advanced surveillance technology, and military equipment
04:48that not only strengthen security, but also promote economic growth.
