00:00There were several arrests in Paranaque City because of illegal working with a Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator, or POGO.

00:09This is what Floyd Brents reported.

00:14A huge operation was carried out by the authorities in Paranaque City,

00:19where 32 people were arrested because of illegal working with a Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator, or POGO.

00:2720 Chinese nationals, 11 Malaysians, and 1 Cambodian were arrested.

00:34The operation was carried out by the Bureau of Immigration and National Bureau of Investigation,

00:39which conducted an investigation in an establishment in the so-called Lungsod.

00:44After the operations, 32 foreigners were brought into the custody of the NBI

00:50while the process of their deportation was being carried out.

00:54According to the NBI, they will continue to monitor and control all foreign operators operating illegally in the country,

01:01especially the POGOs that are prohibited by the governments.

01:04According to NBI Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado,

01:07this is a warning to the foreigners who continue to commit illegal acts.

01:13Meanwhile, DILG Secretary John V. Cremulia,

01:16in a statement, encouraged the local governments to be more strict in assessing their businesses.

01:24The so-called operation is part of the government's continued efforts to implement the prohibition of POGO,

01:31which was declared by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in his State of the Nation Address in 2024.

01:37These actions show the determination of the government to enforce the law and ensure justice in the country.

01:44Despite the ongoing threat of illegal business,

01:47it continues to reach foreign workers.
