00:00Hello, it's Martin Dempster, the Scotsman Golf Correspondent here, coming to you from
00:06Emirates Golf Club in the UAE at the conclusion of the 2025 Hero Dubai Desert Classic. The
00:16winner on this occasion was Englishman Tyrell Hatton, who landed his fifth Rolex Series
00:23title triumph, joining his Live Golf teammate John Rahm on that number. Hatton was a shot
00:31behind heading into the final round, but recovered from an opening bogey to produce a polished
00:38performance. He was two shots clear coming down the last, left himself with a testing
00:44five footer to clinch victory, but in that putt went and the Englishman celebrated with
00:51a huge cry of come on. The win came after Hatton won the Alfred Dunhill Lynch Championship
01:01for a record-breaking third time last October. He's been on great form over the winter period,
01:11which is the off-season for Live Golf. He resumes the breakaway circuit's new season
01:17next month, and that means he won't be seen again on the DP World Tour until the Irish
01:23Open and BMW PGA Championship in August last September. He's moved to the top of the automatic
01:32rankings for the Ryder Cup, six spots up for grabs from that list. Whether he stays on
01:42that list remains to be seen. You'll have to rely on the majors, but there's no doubt
01:48that Hatton is a player that Luke Donald will want on his team when Europe defend the Ryder
01:54Cup against the Americans at Bethpage Black in September. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing
02:00last day for the Scots who set out with a chance of landing this prestigious title.
02:08Ewan Ferguson, who was in the last group, had to settle for 16th spot just ahead of Callum Hill
02:15and Bob McIntyre after they performed under expectations perhaps on the last day. However,
02:26Connor Syme signed off with a bogey-free 67 to jump around 40 spots, finishing inside the top
02:3430, and he'll be hoping to pick up in next week's Ras Al Khaimah Championship when the
02:41DP World Tour caravan rolls on there. To keep up to date with everything in the golf world,
