00:00The ceasefire deal between Hamas and Israel is set to take effect on Sunday.
00:05It will be divided into three phases, to be spread over a period of three months.
00:10The first phase starting January 19 would last six weeks, and will see a full ceasefire
00:15as well as the first 33 Israeli hostages released in exchange for Palestinian prisoners in Israel.
00:22These hostages will include all women, children and men over the age of 50.
00:27After the first phase, Israel will withdraw its troops from all populated areas of Gaza
00:31and the Philadelphia Corridor, enabling the reopening of the Rafah crossing at the border
00:36with Egypt.
00:37The Palestinian territory will see a surge in humanitarian aid deliveries, up to 600
00:41trucks per day.
00:43Displaced Gazans will also be allowed to return home to the enclave's besieged north, and
00:48wounded Palestinians would be allowed to leave the Strip for treatment.
00:52The second phase is conditional on whether phase one is upheld.
00:55If things move according to plan, phase two will see the release of the remaining Israeli
00:59hostages and Israel's complete withdrawal from Gaza.
01:03The third and final phase would start on April 12.
01:07Although the details of the second and third phase are expected to be hashed out during
01:10phase one, this is when bodies of the remaining hostages would be returned, and the launch
01:15of a major three-to-five-year reconstruction plan for Gaza.
01:19In the scenario of a breach of the agreement, mediators U.S., Qatar and Egypt are expected
01:24to intervene.
