00:00There is an addition to the case of MPOX in the Philippines.

00:08The new case, the first MPOX case in Baguio City.

00:12According to the Health Services Office, the 28-year-old male patient was infected with Clade 2 virus.

00:20It is said that the patient was infected with a weaker type of MPOX virus.

00:25He is now well and the isolation is complete this Friday, January 17.

00:30Baguio LGU ordered the public to be careful and follow the health protocols.

00:35As of December 2024, 52 recorded MPOX cases were reported in the country.

00:40All of them are well, according to the Department of Health.

00:44Among the symptoms of MPOX are skin rashes or mucosal lesions,

00:49swelling lymph nodes, fever, sore throat, back pain, headache, and low energy.

00:56To avoid the virus, always cover your mouth whenever you cough or sneeze.

01:01Avoid skin-to-skin contact with other people and going to public places.

01:06Always wash your hands and make sure there is proper air flow or ventilation.

01:11Immediately consult if you have symptoms of MPOX virus.
