Thousands of protesters have taken to the streets of Washington, D.C., just two days before Donald Trump's inauguration. They are demonstrating against the incoming president and his positions on a range of issues, including climate change, LGBTQ+ rights, and abortion.

00:11Dubbed the People's March, protesters carried signs criticizing Trump's position on a range

00:25Trump has previously referred to the climate crisis as a scam and hoax.
00:30Um, I mean, really, like, I don't think it's an understatement to say really everything

00:35I mean, the climate crisis is, is, uh, you know, really the most pressing and urgent

00:40It has been for the past decade and, uh, you know, government after government, uh, is,
00:45is unable to tackle it at the scale and speed that's necessary to transform our whole economy,
00:49to shift to renewable, like, green energy away from fossil fuels.
