00:00I have news coming in from Jammu and Kashmir, an encounter has broken out early this morning
00:05in Sopore in the Kashmir valley.
00:07The firing started again at the site.
00:10Joint forces have cordoned off the area last evening.
00:12There were intelligence inputs confirming a terror hideout.
00:16During the search operation, terrorists were confirmed to be hiding in the area and opened
00:20fire triggering a gunfight.
00:22For now the firing has stopped.
00:25We are told that it is because with the sunrise again, the firing started and it is reflective
00:30of the situation that while a lot has changed in the Kashmir valley, however, the terrorists
00:36sponsored by Pakistan have managed to at least in some areas are attempting to again disturb
00:42the situation.
00:43Sopore, remember, has been at once as it was called a terror hotbed, a lot changed specifically
00:50in the past five to six years.
00:52However, now we are told that an encounter is currently taking place in the Kashmir valley
00:58in Sopore.
00:59We will try and ascertain more details.
01:00We are not putting out any detail that could hamper the operations.
01:04These are all deferred images on your screen, but it's a reminder of what Pakistan sponsored
01:09jihadists intend to do.
01:10They do not want peace to return in the area.
01:14Also, for a background, Sopore was where, which was considered the area and stronghold
01:19of Hurriyat hardliner, Saeed Ali Shagilani.
01:23Mir Fareed joins me this morning.
01:24Fareed, good morning.
01:26What is the status?
01:27What do you hear from Sopore?
01:28What is happening?
01:29Go ahead, please.
01:30Good morning, Pooja.
01:31In fact, first light this morning, this gunfight has restarted.
01:36We reported late last night that this Pujar Patti, this is a village very close to the
01:42forest area in Sopore in North Kashmir.
01:44The security forces got the input that there is a Lashkar hideout in the area and as the
01:49joint search party went in, they were greeted with gunfire.
01:52Late last night this happened and encounter ensued through the night.
01:57There was no fresh firefights, but this morning, first light, the encounter has again started
02:03and we've been told that at least two to three could be holed up in this area and operation
02:07is slightly tricky because, as I said, it's a forest area close to the village and if
02:14these militants manage to slip into the forest area, the operation can get difficult for
02:18the security forces.
02:19So, cordon has been tightened and the effort is to pin them down there and end their resistance.
02:25Pooja?
02:26Alright, Fareed will be tracking all the latest on that and another encounter and this, remember,
02:30has been while a dip in the attempts of these attacks by the terrorists, but it also means
02:36that the forces will have to be on a heightened alert regularly.
02:39Fareed, thank you very much for now.
03:04We have an update coming in on Saif Ali Khan's attack case.
03:07The Mumbai police likely to recreate the crime scene as well at the residence in Bandra while
03:12actor Saif Ali Khan, also recovering from injuries, is likely to be discharged soon.
03:17According to an official with the Mumbai police, they'll likely take Shehzad Sharif
03:21Al-Islam to the actor's residence in the building where they'll attempt to recreate the crime
03:27scene.
03:28Remember, the accused in this high-profile case, according to the police, has turned
03:31out to be a 30-year-old Bangladeshi national arrested in the morning from adjoining Thane
03:36where he was residing with a changed identity.
03:39A court here has demanded the man in police custody at least for the next five days.
03:44So, police basically has five days to try and figure out and put a timeline and modus
03:48operandi together of what exactly happened.
03:52According to the police officials and the sources are saying that Shehzad sneaked into
03:56Bollywood star's apartment in the early hours of January 16th with the intention of theft.
04:07Let me go across to Bhavna Agarwal and Omkar Wable joining us for the latest on that.
04:12Omkar, I'll first come to you.
04:15You know, there were a lot of identities that were coming up.
04:18What helped the Mumbai police confirm this is the one and there are a lot of layers coming
04:21to him that he is a Bangladeshi national.
04:24What about the modus operandi intention?
04:26Take us through what you're hearing.
04:31Exactly, look, investigative agencies finally caught him yesterday.
04:43Since 16th of January, they were trying to hunt him down, but the issue is still there
04:50about his identity.
04:51So, when they got to know from the primary sources that he is a Bangladeshi, so the question
04:57arises how he infiltrated the country and then how he entered into Saif Ali Khan's house.
05:04I'm exactly standing in front of Saif Ali Khan's penthouse located in Bandra.
05:09This is Satguru Saran's society.
05:12Saif Ali Khan stays upstairs.
05:15Even now his wife is there and after sometime she'll go to meet him at the Leelavati hospital.
05:21But back to the investigation, now since the beginning police were trying to interrogate
05:28him and he was manipulating with the facts.
05:31So since the beginning he was telling his name like Bijoy Das and later on he changed
05:35his name, the initials also.
05:37So that is why a question arises how he entered in the house and from which country he belonged to.
05:44So that is why investigation agencies wanted more buffering time to interrogate him further.
05:49Finally he got police custody of 5 days but the question remains how he entered in this
05:54premises and how he attacked Saif Ali Khan.
05:57So now statement of Saif Ali Khan, the first statement which is recorded by the local crime
06:01branch and the second statement of the accused, they both will be matched and then police
06:06will check what are the facts and they'll again interrogate the accused.
06:10Kaur will be tracking the latest on what precisely the investigation is going to be.
06:14As he says there could be a recreation of the crime scene.
06:17This is part of protocol to help understand what exactly happened, how did he go up and
06:21then manage to come down without being noticed.
06:24Remember it's been 4 days.
06:25The actor is likely to be discharged from the hospital in a short while and as he recovers
06:29from injury but there will be of course a bed rest advice to him.
06:32His sister, actor Soha Ali Khan has given an update meanwhile on the health that he
06:36is recovering well and that she feels very blessed and grateful that it did not turn
06:40any worse.
06:41According to the investigation by Mumbai police, attacker Shariful Islam Shehzad slept at a
06:46bus stand in Bandra till 7am.
06:49Investigation reveals that Shariful is a Bangladeshi national, entered into India illegally.
06:54Mumbai police has revealed that the attacker was staying in India using many fake identities
06:58including one of Vijay Das in Thane.
07:16So now joining me in this telecast is my colleague Bhavna Agarwal.
07:43Bhavna, you've been I'm sure getting reactions from the film industry.
07:46Over the past 4 days what have you seen around you as Omkar tracks the investigation.
07:51Tell us more about one that he's likely to leave the hospital, what happens there on.
07:55A lot of celebrities would be waiting to meet him, possibly who are friends and family.
08:03Absolutely Pooja.
08:04From what we know as per the last briefing that happened at the hospital, it was told
08:09that he will be discharged in 2 or 3 days if he feels okay.
08:12So as per what we know he might be discharged this evening or tomorrow latest.
08:17After he goes home of course we are also waiting for the police to record his statement.
08:21Remember his statement has not been recorded as yet.
08:24Also bed advice for a week or two has been already been given to Saif.
08:29So it is unlikely that a lot of people would be allowed to meet him to avoid any infection
08:33as informed at the press briefing.
08:36On Friday there has been no press briefing since then.
08:39Also all we know from the hospital is that Saif is doing well but he's advised one or
08:43two week bed advice at the moment.
08:46And also a lot of people have been told to not meet him in person to avoid any infection
08:52because remember his spinal injury has been a little, it is taking a little while to recuperate
08:59on that end.
09:00So definitely that is one of the things.
09:02Apart from that the family members are in and out of the hospital, Kareena has been
09:07in and out of the hospital meeting Saif and being with him by his side during this moment.
09:12On Sunday in fact for the first time Taimur and Jai were seen entering the hospital and
09:16meeting Saif since the incident and the accident happened.
09:21So once he is discharged one can expect a few family, close family friends to come and
09:27meet him but I don't think a lot of people would be allowed to meet him at least for
09:32the first two weeks to avoid any infection.
09:35And I'm pretty sure that ever since what has happened in the past few days they'll
09:38want to in fact ensure that the family right now have their space and their privacy and
09:44would just want to deal and heal with what exactly unfolded, what a nightmare this has
09:48been for the Khan Kapoor family.
09:50For now he's recovering, likely to be discharged soon, we'll be tracking that and more.
09:53A fresh update from the hospital is expected.
09:55I have news coming in on the investigation, meanwhile let's take a look at that.
10:01It's a big news on your screens right now, India Today has accessed the interrogation
10:06details.
10:07There are very specific questioning that will be done by the Mumbai Police of Shariful Islam
10:11Shehzad.
10:12He'll be questioned on three important lines.
10:14Was there any prior offence committed by him in Mumbai or any other areas of theft, decoyity,
10:19assault, robbery and importantly was there a history, criminal history around him?
10:25But then comes the big question, did he know someone?
10:29Was there an accomplice who helped him in planning execution and conspiracy for the
10:33robbery?
10:34Did someone tell him how to get into the house and manage to get out?
10:38Who all were the people who he was in touch with in Mumbai?
10:41If he is a Bangladeshi national as police says and he's been living here in India on
10:46fake identity, who was helping him then all this while, especially with a fake identity
10:51or one from Thane district?
10:53So that's what the latest is happening in this case.
10:55So remember this is going to be very crucial.
10:58The health aspect is being taken care of by the top surgeons from Leelavati Hospital.
11:02But the Mumbai Police has a big responsibility on their shoulders.
11:05They'll have to find out why and how this man managed to make an entry so easily, knowing
11:11fairly well that he'll be able to manage this robbery attempt and then also got out.
11:17And it took at least a day or two to be able to nab because there were, remember, it was
11:22like a needle in the haystack for even the Mumbai Police to nab him.
11:26There were barely few CCTVs in the house as well.
11:29And therefore they have depended largely on the CCTV evidence they've been able to gather
11:33from across the areas, tracking his movement, tracking his details.
11:38Mustafa Shaikh joining me for the latest on that.
11:41So Omkar Wable is at Saif Ali Khan's residence.
11:44Mustafa Shaikh is at the Bandra residence and Bhavna Agarwal from the Leelavati Hospital.
11:49I want to come to you first, Mustafa, and then also to Omkar.
11:52Mustafa, you tell me, what are the police saying?
11:54What will be the line of questioning they'll want to grill him on?
11:57What will be the agenda for the cops right now?
11:59Well, Bandra police will have to verify everything which Shariful Islam is saying.
12:07As of now, what he has said that he was looking for some money, he targeted a house in Bandra
12:13Khar area and it turned out to be at Saif Ali Khan, which he was not aware of.
12:16These are things which the police will have to investigate.
12:19Also recreation of crime in this incident will be of prime importance in cracking and
12:25filing a watertight case against the accused because the court will have to believe that
12:31this person was able to enter a building which has two security guards, go by staircases
12:38for 12 floors, commit the crime, almost taking life of Saif Ali Khan, and then coming down
12:43stairs of 12 floors and then escaping.
12:46So this he was able to do in search of some money in an attempt to burglary is a big question
12:53in front of the police also.
12:55The identification of the accused will also be important.
12:58As of now, the police did a 72-hour search to nab this accused, they had to go through
13:04many CCTV footages.
13:06This accused was changing his clothes, so they had to nab him through identifying his
13:11shoes and then other technical means.
13:13So clearly it has been a challenge to catch this accused, but also to make a watertight
13:19case against him will be another challenge in front of the Bandra police.
13:23Alright, stay on with me Mustafa, I want to take that question to Omkar as well.
13:28Omkar, you know it wouldn't have been easy for the police to be able to nab him eventually.
13:32There were earlier other suspects also who were detained.
13:36How are you picking up about the strategy, about how the police intends to go ahead in
13:40this?
13:41How did they manage to nab him?
13:42What will be on their mind and in their agenda to ensure that they are able to reach the
13:46bottom of this?
13:47Well, police have already recorded this statement, but even after that, substantial evidence
13:59is matters a lot and that is why police might, investigative agencies might go ahead with
14:04the recreation scene, which is a part of the investigative SOP.
14:08So since the beginning, we can see the accused is trying to manipulate with the facts as
14:13he was continuously changing his name, he wasn't given any kind of identity or the legal
14:20documents like Aadhaar card and his local address.
14:24So that is why police will go further in this investigation and as agencies are going further
14:32and they are still interrogating him, we'll get to know more details about his identity
14:36from where he belonged to and second most important thing, as I was foregrounding the
14:43recreation scene, which is part of the investigation, so they might come to this, the resident of
14:49Saif Ali Khan and they recreate the scene and because the question is still remains
14:53same how he entered in the house of Saif Ali Khan.
14:56Eventually, was it so easy?
14:57Yes.
14:58And to know that you can get away also, come in easily, that everything would likely be
15:04opened and he knew the floor.
15:05He was definitely going within an agenda and an intention.
15:08I request all my colleagues to please stay on with me and this is to help the viewer
15:12understand why this raises an important question.
15:15This could have been anyone of course, who was being targeted but least of all living
15:19as a celebrity in a high secure zone and yet this happens.
15:23Now remember that Saif Ali Khan and Kareena reside in the Satguru Sharan Apartments, it's
15:27a luxurious lavish apartment where they recently moved in.
15:30Now as per artificial intelligence, our team have managed to come bring together some of
15:35the details.
15:36These are all representative images for you to understand.
15:38So this is the Satguru Sharan building.
15:40Now this is a multiple story building, around three to four story which is comprising four
15:46the residents of Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan.
15:48Now this is where the man has entered into the building, we are told he, they reside
15:53on about 11th floor, that's where their apartment begins from.
15:57This man manages to at least reach and here you can see the balconies around the building
16:02area and that is where another balcony is.
16:04Now this man manages to take the fire escape, happily walks up, cautiously tiptoeing to
16:10the residents, manages to come inside.
16:13Now according to the information coming in, did he use a certain AC duct somewhere when
16:17he managed to enter into the house and using those AC duct passages came into the bedroom
16:23of specially the children, not even the actors, the little two boys who reside there.
16:27These are of course as I said representative images to help you understand.
16:30To use, this is the entry to the fire exit staircase, so either he used this one or a
16:35duct which managed to help him come into the premises, immediately the private chambers
16:40of the family.
16:41This remember was the CCTV image that we had brought to you, cautiously tiptoeing, masked
16:46face but he knew clearly where to go up, did he know where the actors reside and who told
16:51him, who helped him, is that a question.
16:53If he used the duct as is being said by the Mumbai police and we try and help you understand
16:59that he comes in right into the chambers.
17:01This is an image that was shared by Kareena Kapoor in some of her social media handles.
17:05We have used it as a representative image to help you understand how the house looked
17:09like and possibly when he jumped into and inside the residence, right where the children
17:14and the family members were sleeping.
17:16That is when the house help raised an alarm, Saif Ali Khan came down running realizing
17:20he was too close to the children and that is when he confronts the accused in these
17:24private chambers and then we know what happened, the injuries that he faced and the man manages
17:30to in some way easily get away.
17:32He ran away using the same fire escape, this time however because of this brief millisecond
17:38that his face was captured on one of the CCTVs.
17:41So this is what at 2.33 am happened in one hour, all that unfolded, that will be now
17:46a big responsibility on the shoulders of Mumbai police to resolve this case for once and for
17:51all.
17:53So we have more news coming in as we continue to tell you what will be unfolding from Mumbai
17:57but in political corridors.
18:00For Rahul Gandhi is there trouble brewing with regard to the statement he made fighting
18:05the Indian state not just BJP RSS.
18:09Now the Congress while says that his remarks are being taken out of context but with FIRs
18:14and more and more police complaints being filed against him, the latest is from Assam.
18:19This remember means that with a piling of cases, this time the FIR registered under
18:24section 152 and 197 1D of the BNS for acts endangering sovereignty and unity integrity
18:30of India and it is a remember cognizable and a non-bailable offence.
18:35On 15 January during the inauguration of the Congress party new headquarters in Kotla Road
18:39he had made this comment, I quote it here, BJP RSS have captured every institution and
18:46they are not just fighting BJP RSS but the Indian state itself.
18:52Do not think that we are fighting a fair fight, there is no fairness in this.
19:03If you believe that we are fighting a political organization called the BJP, that we are fighting
19:12a political organization called the RSS, you have not understood what is going on.
19:19The BJP and the RSS have captured every single institution of our country.
19:27We are now fighting the BJP, the RSS and the Indian state itself.
19:57We are now fighting the BJP, the RSS and the Indian state itself.
20:27We are now fighting the BJP, the RSS and the Indian state itself.
20:53We are now fighting the BJP, the RSS and the Indian state itself.
21:20We are now fighting the BJP, the RSS and the Indian state itself.
21:49We are now fighting the BJP, the RSS and the Indian state itself.
22:17We are now fighting the BJP, the RSS and the Indian state itself.
22:46We are now fighting the BJP, the RSS and the Indian state itself.
23:16We are now fighting the BJP, the RSS and the Indian state itself.
23:44We are now fighting the BJP, the RSS and the Indian state itself.
24:13We are now fighting the BJP, the RSS and the Indian state itself.
24:41We are now fighting the BJP, the RSS and the Indian state itself.
25:10We are now fighting the BJP, the RSS and the Indian state itself.
25:38We are now fighting the BJP, the RSS and the Indian state itself.
26:08We are now fighting the BJP, the RSS and the Indian state itself.
26:38We are now fighting the BJP, the RSS and the Indian state itself.
27:08We are now fighting the BJP, the RSS and the Indian state itself.
27:38We are now fighting the BJP, the RSS and the Indian state itself.
28:08We are now fighting the BJP, the RSS and the Indian state itself.
28:38We are now fighting the BJP, the RSS and the Indian state itself.
29:08We are now fighting the BJP, the RSS and the Indian state itself.
29:39We are now fighting the BJP, the RSS and the Indian state itself.
29:53We are now fighting the BJP, the RSS and the Indian state itself.
30:06We are now fighting the BJP, the RSS and the Indian state itself.
30:18We are now fighting the BJP, the RSS and the Indian state itself.
30:28We are now fighting the BJP, the RSS and the Indian state itself.
30:40We are now fighting the BJP, the RSS and the Indian state itself.
30:51As a first step toward restoring transparency and accountability to government,
30:55we will also reverse the over classification of government documents
31:01and in the coming days we are going to make public remaining records
31:05relating to the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy,
31:09his brother Robert Kennedy, as well as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
31:15and other topics of great public interest.
31:18It's all going to be released, Uncle Sam.
31:21I will end the war in Ukraine, I will stop the chaos in the Middle East
31:25and I will prevent World War III from happening and you have no idea how close we are.
31:31Before even taking office, you are already seeing results that nobody expected to see.
31:39Everyone is calling it the, I don't want to say this, it's too braggadocious, but we'll say it anyway,
31:47the Trump effect, it's you, you're the effect.
31:51And as of today, TikTok is back.
32:03So, you know I did a little TikTok thing, we have a guy,
32:07TikTok Jack, he's a young kid, like 21 years old, and we hired this guy and I went on TikTok.
32:14Can you believe what I'll do to win an election?
32:17And we went on TikTok and Republicans have never won the young vote, the youth vote.
32:23They win a lot of votes, but they never won the youth vote.
32:26We won the youth vote by 36 points.
32:29We have no choice, we have to save a lot of jobs.
32:32We don't want to give our business to China, we don't want to give our business to other people.
32:36We will quickly reestablish control of our sovereign territory and borders.
32:42We will expel every single illegal alien gang member and migrant criminal operating on American soil.
32:48We're looking forward to making a lot of changes.
32:54And, you know, this victory is the start, really.
33:03What matters going forward is to actually make significant changes,
33:07cement those changes, and set the foundation for America to be strong for a century, for centuries, forever.
33:26And make America great again.
33:30And at these celebrations, there were celebrities as well showing their support to Donald Trump.
33:36Remember that there were literally a lot of occasions where there have been celebrities that have come forward
33:41since the beginning and have expressed support.
33:43And in many ways, Donald Trump, there's a reason, has announced ambassadors for Hollywood.
33:47For example, musician Kid Rock performed hits like All Summer Long to the Trump supporters.
33:53Puerto Rican artists as well showing their support for the incoming president.
33:56Actor Jon Voight, one of those legends who has been announced as ambassadors for Hollywood, also voiced his support.
34:06I'm so grateful that I'm able to say that Donald J. Trump is the 47th president of the United States of America.
34:26And now he will make America thrive again.
34:30He will make America great again, safe again.
34:35And we, the people, will honor our flag again.
34:43I want to thank my Spanish community. We stood tall, we stood together.
34:48Now we have the strongest president of all time taking care of us.
34:52I know this four years is going to be one hell of a run.
34:55I know he's going to do a lot of great things for the whole Spanish community, especially if we're going to make America great again.
35:02And remember, it's not just about the United States of America.
35:05Every president of the USA also defines global geopolitics as well and relationship with India here, for example.
35:11So, India today is on the ground in Washington, D.C.
35:14Gaurav Sawant is talking to not only MAGA supporters who've been, of course, supporters of Donald Trump,
35:19but also Indian-Americans who are Republicans.
35:21Here's more on that from the ground.
35:23Actually, you know, when President Trump is going to be in the office,
35:28there's just a media hype that is going to be destruction.
35:32But I'm sure President Trump, because he's an authentic president,
35:37because whatever he says, he does.
35:39Whatever he does not mean to say, he says.
35:42Whatever he means to say, so he's authentic.
35:45He knows how to work with the international stage, especially we are talking about Turkey.
35:51The whole Europe has just become a freeloader for America.
35:57So, this is the time when President Trump is going to do whatever he's saying.
36:01So, you say he will fulfill the promises that he's made.
36:04But in the United States of America, will it lead to a lot of disruptions in relations, in diplomacy with several countries?
36:12I would say that it's too early to say anything because we really don't know what he's got on the table.
36:18So, once he's inaugurated tomorrow, we have to watch in the next 20 days, the next six months, and see.
36:25Does he really fulfill, does he really deliver what he's talking of?
36:30Like, I really support him against illegal immigration.
36:34Other than that, I'm a hardcore democrat, but I believe in democracy.
36:38People have voted for him, and he's our president, and I do want to support him.
36:43The Indian community here in Washington, D.C. and across the United States of America
36:48are looking forward to President Trump's inauguration and his 47th president in the White House and his stay at the White House.
36:56There is a lot of expectation, a lot of anticipation.
36:58The Hindu American community, the Sikh American community, they've seen what Donald Trump has been saying.
37:05They've been interacting extensively with the Republicans.
37:08And with me are some very prominent members of the Hindu American community here.
37:13Sir, you were involved in the first temple that came up in California and along the West Coast.
37:19How are you looking at President Trump in the White House, especially in the run-up to the elections,
37:24when he spoke of protection of Hindus, even in Bangladesh?
37:28Absolutely, Gauravji. One of the reasons all the Hindus are excited,
37:33that we think he's going to do a much better job for our community in America, for Hindu Americans.
37:40Because, like you said, the temples have been made, the sanstha has been made,
37:44and many organizations from religious, spiritual, cultural point of view.
37:48Now political empowerment, we have an association called Americans for Hindus.
37:52And we have many, many chapters all over the country.
37:55And we all gathered here today just to congratulate him, be part of the celebration.
38:01And we are excited that in the future, that America, not only Hindus in America,
38:06but all over the world, will be taken care of.
38:09Because he's so, so strong in his ideology and with the Hindus.
38:14And with people like Tulsi Gabbard in the running to be Director of National Intelligence,
38:20with Kash Patel, with Vivek Ramaswamy, with Sri Ramakrishnan,
38:25is there hope that there will be greater bonding between India and America?
38:31Yeah, 100%. Because they have faith in Hindu religion.
38:35And of course, we congratulate Trump as well.
38:39Because they have our faces, so we can say clearly.
38:43And of course, that will help us for a lot.
38:45You think so?
38:47You've been interacting very extensively with the policy makers, with the decision makers.
38:52Are you hopeful that this is not just election rhetoric, talking about protection of Hindus,
38:57there will be something tangible that will be done for Bangladeshi Hindus?
39:00Well, that's what we're going to try.
39:02And we've been working for years.
39:04And now, I think we are more excited that we can work a lot better.
39:07Because President Trump has openly said that he's going to help us out.
39:13And he's not only just talking, but he's walking the talk also, by taking these people, the names you mentioned.
39:19And we've been working with Tulsi Gabbard, Kash Patel, and Vivek Ramaswamy, and everybody.
39:24And Jay Bhattacharya, another one from Stanford, right in my backyard.
39:27And these people, once he's taken them in, absolutely, he has the intentions.
39:33And it's up to us now.
39:34As Hindu-Americans, we're not going to be just satisfied with what he's doing.
39:38But we're going to have to do our work as well.
39:40Absolutely. And it's not just Hindu-Americans, but Sikh-Americans also.
39:44Because the issue that's related to the Khalistani terror, the kind of rhetoric that comes from Sikhs for justice,
39:52I have Sukhi Chahal with me here. Mr. Chahal, how do you look at President Trump in the White House?
39:57Very important. This is a very important occasion for us.
40:01Because, especially, we have to convey the message to the authority, to the new administration.
40:06We have to educate them. As a Sikh, it's my responsibility to isolate, to tell them the difference.
40:12So these Sikhs for justice, or the Gurput Mandapannu, and all these Khalistani, they are violent.
40:19They are radical. They do not represent the Sikhs.
40:22And they are trying to create a friction between the India and the U.S. relationship.
40:28So that's why it's my moral responsibility to make sure they get educated.
40:32And also, he's also a victim of the radicalization and also even the terrorism, too, right?
40:39And we want to make sure, especially, we have to keep all the Islamic radicals and Khalistani radicals away from the society.
40:47That's in the interest of my United States. I'm an American citizen.
40:50At the same time, we want to promote the U.S. and India relationship.
40:54Is the Indian community a little concerned about maybe H-1B visa, their numbers will go down, or will that be a problem?
41:03I think there will be always concern because H-1B, mostly like H-1B visa is used by Indian young professionals
41:14to get entry into American professional world.
41:18So, if there is some kind of hindrances, everybody's going to think that's bothering to all.
41:24But are you excited about Trump's presidency?
41:27Yeah, I mean, the best thing about Trump's presidency, I think Trump favors India.
41:33And India looks at a strategic partner on the other side of the world, which is extremely important for Indians back home and Indian-Americans here.
41:43That's interesting you should mention that because the Indian-American community here is extremely confident that this would be a win-win partnership
41:50of two very strong democracies in two different parts of the world.
41:54But as Prime Minister Narendra Modi also put it in one of his interactions,
41:58that this is a relationship that will benefit not just each other, but perhaps the larger world.
42:04There are two wars going on. What can we expect from Donald Trump?
42:08I mean, you are already seeing that, you know, in one of the wars,
42:12as a result of the President-elect coming in and the pressure that countries are seeing,
42:18we have a prospective deal that is coming together, right?
42:22And he said very pointedly that he does not want war.
42:26He does not like suffering. He does not like war.
42:28He's a guy who likes deals.
42:30And that's what people should expect throughout in geopolitics.
42:35You look back in the first term, the Trump administration just completely redefined the moment
42:40on how economic security is considered part of national security.
42:44They sanctioned Huawei. They sanctioned ZTE.
42:47And that China hawkishness will continue even more so.
42:50The Biden administration has made dual-use technology, semiconductors, AI,
42:55a critical cornerstone of their national security strategy.
42:58You should expect the Trump administration to continue that, even double down on it.
43:02Control more technologies from going to China.
43:04Some of the areas where he probably differs on how Biden handled some of the foreign situation.
43:09What do you think the change could be when he takes office?
43:12I'm not sure as to how much change will take place.
43:16I know for a fact that the Biden administration and the Trump officials have been working pretty closely.
43:23I know that the Trump officials have been in the Gulf with Biden officials
43:29to ensure that there's a transition.
43:31And there's a positive transition from Biden to Trump when it comes to the Gulf.
43:37When it comes to other things, the difference, I think you'll see just a lot of focus on the domestic side.
43:44A lot of executive orders.
43:46And I think it's going to take time for a lot of people to kind of absorb the impact.
43:50You'll also probably see a lot of lawsuits as well.
43:52The shock and awe that's been talked about of these executive orders is what you're trying to talk about.
43:57Every administration has that shock and awe type of thing.
44:00The Biden administration did the same thing as well.
44:02When they first came in, they also issued a lot of executive orders.
44:06So the issue we have with executive orders is not a new thing.
44:10It's a question of really on whose side you're on.
44:13So I think border people are going to be happy.
44:16I think people who want to curb illegal immigration are going to be happy.
44:19One of the few first things that comes to your mind,
44:24especially thinking from an American perspective,
44:26that they would want to work with India under this new administration.
44:30Well, you have to understand Trump 2.0.
44:34The global situation is so different than Trump 1.0.
44:39China economically is weaker. Middle East is in turmoil.
44:45But Iran is kind of weakened.
44:48You have Ukraine-Russia war going on.
44:51And they would like to come to some kind of terms to make a deal itself.
44:55In the U.S., the economy is booming.
44:58And what you have is unemployment at a very, very low level itself.
45:02So it's a very, very different scenario coming in.
45:06So what we will see is sweeping changes coming from Trump administration,
45:12geopolitically and domestically.
45:15When I say geopolitically, India becomes critical from that perspective.
45:21Because Trump team sees India as a partner which can take on an aggressive and assertive China.
45:29Yes, Trump is making effort by putting tariffs to bring in industry back to the U.S.
45:35But that won't happen overnight.
